I appreciate the fact that the individual prices are also displayed. Keep up your great service.
The variety, & pastries themselves were truly amazing! I would go back every day if I could:) the Sfogliatelle ricce with pistachio was my favorite!
The best traditional Italian pastry shop in little Italy & their Zeppolees traditional or backed along with all other pastries are to die for, the staff are very friendly & nice.
We love that place.
The reaction I had by eating the Zeppole from here was Ohh Myyy God! The reaction my family had which one is the OMG.
Tucked in Little Italy, Alati-Caserta serves traditional Italian goodies.
No wonder this bakery has a huge clientele. The pastries are very good.

The pastries are always great but the smiling & helpful young ladies (rare nowadays) serving really made it exceptional
Went there for a Tiramisu birthday cake & everyone loved it!! Went back 5 days later for other pastries for another event!
Recommended to my whole family & friends! Thank you
One of the best pastries in the whole city, staff are so kind & amazing quality!
I go out of my way to get pastries. There is no other like it! The best cannoli, the best sfogliatelli, the best pizza, etc. Its a landmark that will never go away.
For 40 years, I have continuously rationed every box of delicious pastries I've brought home. The quality has never changed.
I was strolling around Montreal's Little Italy & came across this amazing Italian pastry shop. The variety of dry & fresh pastries is incredible, with plenty of large cakes as well. I had an éclair, tiramisu, & a coffee - & honestly, it was the best éclair I've ever had.
Pasticceria Alati-Caserta has an incredible variety of pastries to choose from. We tried the tiramisu & the cannoli as they were recommended to us & both were good. A true classic spot that lives up to its reputation.
If you're looking for the real taste of Italy in Montreal, you absolutely have to visit Pasticceria Alati-Caserta in Little Italy. After living in Montreal for a decade & trying countless bakeries, I can honestly say this is the gold standard for Italian pastries in the city.
The cannoli here are out of this world-crispy shells, filled to order with the creamiest ricotta filling (not too sweet, just right). I've brought friends from Italy, & even they were impressed! I also recommend trying their sfogliatelle & marzipan cookies-everything is made fresh & you can truly taste the quality. If you're celebrating something special, their custom cakes are beautifully made & always a hit.
The shop itself is charming & feels like stepping into a little corner of Naples. It can get busy, especially on weekends or around holidays, so be prepared for a bit of a line. But honestly, it's worth the wait. The staff is friendly & will happily help you choose if you're not sure what to try.
Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Italian desserts or wants to experience a true Montreal classic.
I recently visited this Italian pastry shop with high hopes, especially for their cannoli, which came highly recommended by social media & highly advertised. The shop has a tempting display of traditional Italian sweets. Seating area outside consists of a bench & picnic table. The lady who served us looked annoyed. Nothing personal, maybe she was having a bad day.
When it came to the cannoli, I have to admit I was underwhelmed. The ricotta filling tasted way too sweet for me & had a mix , I would say a tiny bit of ricotta & very buttery cream in the regular cannoli, the others cannolis had a creamy butter filling. It didn't have the richness or depth of flavor I was hoping for. It wasn't bad-it was just... okay.
That said, some of their other pastries tasted delicious & I'd be willing to give them another shot-just probably not for the cannoli.
Your best cannoli is probably at your local Italian bakery or paistry shop. Mine is!
Really wonderful bakery with lovely employees! Angelina assisted us with our selection, she was so helpful & patient since we asked A LOT of questions! We ultimately chose a few of the beautiful small pastries, two cannolis (original & hazelnut) as well as a bunch of cookies. Everything was delicious & we will definitely be going back to purchase a whole cake for our friend's birthday soon. Highly recommend this gem in Little Italy!
Absolutely mind blowing flavors! I had the key lime raspberry tarte & marzipan lemon cookies. Every bite, I had to pause because my knees buckled. They have SO MANY pastries to try!
They were out of oven baked zepolle when I arrived in the early afternoon. Only custard filled ones were left (ricotta sold out). Not only did I find $5.95 to be a steep price for a lump of dough, but it was very ordinary. The custard tasted synthetic like from a mix!!!! The kind you get from a super market. What the heck? How is that even possible with all the good reviews here. We also got a slice of cheesecake, which was ok (not sure where they get it from). The cute little lamb pastries sitting in cellophane all around were $15 each, according to a sticker I saw. Hopefully, a mistake? Why so expensive?? In any case, it was my first & last time going there. My quest for Italian baked goods will continue elsewere.
