I had the Cuban sandwich (spicy paninin)-so good! Love the spicy chipolte mayo. My Daughter had the big dog ans equally tasty. The strawberry 🍓 lemonade & house lemonade are homemade & very refreshing in this 🔥 weather. So good you won't be disappointed.

Stopped here for lunch & it was quite busy so we sat on the bar. The pork cubano sandwich was delicious but it was also 30$ for just the panini sandwich.
Excellent place for breakfast. It is a bit of a hole in the wall as there are no other restaurants nearby. The atmosphere is very authentic with cute decor throughout.
We had the egg & salami burger, which is pretty good, & the kids grilled cheese sandwich, along with a croissant. The fresh baked pastries are very tasty. Note that these don't come with sides so you might need to order a bit more.
Make sure to go early as it gets later in the morning & you'll have to wait.
The two of us shared a Cuban sandwich, a smashed potato salad & a green salad. We were both very hungry since we skipped lunch but even after sharing everything, we left very full.
Everything we tried had the chef's touch. It was all cooked to perfection with such wonderful & fresh & unique flavors.
We split a Cuban sandwich, which was delicious & perfect for a light lunch.
Espresso was pretty good. They use some good locally roasted coffee so they definitely try.
The Cuban & Eggs on your Face sandwiches were delicious & not too spicy, just enough of a kick. Popular place so the wait time was about 15-20 minutes for a party of 2 but so worth it!
I recently visited Olive & Gourmando during my trip to Montreal, & overall, it was a delightful experience that definitely lived up to the hype. The place has a warm, bustling atmosphere with a cozy, rustic interior that instantly makes you feel welcome. We were served by a friendly & attentive waitress who made sure everything went smoothly throughout our meal-excellent service really elevated the experience.
We ordered a variety of dishes to get a good feel for the menu: the Grilled Cheese, Tex-Mex Baked Egg, & the Melted Chicken Sandwich with a side of chips & grilled chicken. I also had a cappuccino, which was smooth & perfectly balanced-not too strong, not too light.
Out of everything we tried, the Grilled Cheese was hands-down my favorite. It was rich, cheesy, & perfectly toasted-a comforting classic done right, & I would go back just for that. The Tex-Mex Baked Egg came second; it had a nice depth of flavor & a good balance of spices, though a bit on the heavier side for my taste. The Melted Chicken Sandwich was my least favorite-it wasn't bad, but I'd give it a 5/10. It felt like it was missing something in terms of flavor or texture.
What I appreciated most was the quality of ingredients & the care put into the food. Everything tasted fresh & thoughtfully prepared. The vibe of the café was lovely-lively without being overwhelming-& I can see why it's a staple for locals & tourists alike.
While Montreal offers a wide range of incredible food options that I still want to explore, Olive & Gourmando was a great stop. I'm glad I visited & would recommend it as a one-time must-try, especially for brunch or a light lunch. It's a spot that combines good food, good coffee, & great service-all the things that make for a memorable café experience.
Paid $26 for a panini - easily the most expensive average sandwich I've ever had. Nothing special about it to justify the price. Definitely not worth it.
It's a quaint small restaurant that only serves breakfast & lunch.
The Cuban sandwich was delicious. The picture was half a serving as we've a dinner reservation & didn't want to stuff up.
The ginger iced tea was great for a hot day.
Been coming here for years but this was my first time trying the chicken sandwich & it was absolutely delish!
The breakfast sandwich I had here with ham, cheese, peach jam, & cultured butter was insanely delicious. It's in a really cool part of the city, & the staff were super friendly. Definitely go here.
We came here because of a show on Netflix called Somebody Feed Phil. It's one of our favourites & we've actively tried to check off several of his recommendations from here to Italy! We had the Cubanos Sandwich & it was absolutely amazing! We were not however able to get a seat, make reservations or sit anywhere close to the location to eat our food as we had a baby stroller with us & it was lined up out the door. We had to wait in the street with a buzzer for about 30 mins & the two sandwiches alone cost us $52 before tip.
5/5 Eggo Fuego: I recommend getting the avocado on the side it is seasoned & I loved it with the sandwiche. The egg is perfect spongy & adds to the sauce for a nice savory crunch.
I loved the cozy atmosphere within old Montreal's European style section of the city.
Food was tasty but not worth the price. We had their Cuban & Chicken sandwiches. & for the price they're charging, I'd expect more stuff within them.
Seeing no line outside at this renowned café, we jumped right in. The Parisian-style décor was unpretentious & inviting. The service was friendly & helpful. The famous sandwich'Le Cuban' with spicy mayo was delicious. The Canadiano coffee was rich & bold. Many options of viennoiseries available for grab-&-go.
