sandwich(94) breakfast(74) salad(70) coffee(65) cheese(63) brunch(55) busy(46) fresh(42) ricotta(42) panini(40) pastries(39) cafe(39)The food is fresh & delicious, their salmon bowl is the perfect blend of flavor. I went back for breakfast, their chia breakfast bowl had fresh fruit, their homemade granola & a little custard. Their coffee is good too, great location in Old Town Montreal, pretty setting. The staff is friendly, I was traveling on my own & really enjoyed the food & atmosphere.
Get brunch place. The food is consistently good. Nice intimate atmosphere inside & terrace outside for nice weather.
Our first stop in Montreal, & this place is such a must! Definitely worth getting in line! Excellent service & pastries! If I go back to Montreal, I will surely stop at this place again! Highly recommended!
We had a fantastic experience. One in our party couldn't have sugar & they worked hard to accommodate her needs. The Reuben was amazing & the almond croissant was to die for.
A great, bustling place in Old Montreal for killer lunch time bites & a trendy, casual vibe. The Cubain panini & chicken melt 🥪 were incredibly tasty. We will definitely be back!
Stumbled upon Olive & Gourmando on a Sunday morning while exploring Old Montreal & I'm so glad I did - the line out the door was absolutely worth it. We grabbed a table just as the brunch rush was picking up & the croque monsieur was honestly one of the best I've ever had, perfectly crispy with just the right amount of melt. The staff were warm & patient even with the crowd, & the rustic exposed-brick space felt like something straight out of a Parisian café. Definitely coming back next time I'm in town from Vancouver.
Cute & cozy restaurant with A+ food. We ordered two raspberry lemonades for the kids, the french toast, grilled cheese, asian salad & the Egg on Your Face sandwich - all were delicious but the standout was the homemade ketchup that came with the grilled cheese. Outstanding!
Good food but overpriced. $26 plus tax & tip for a simple sandwich with no side (not even a pickle or handful of greens or potato chips) is excessive, even if it is tasty. Cozy interior, not the best place to bring a large group or big stroller.
Coffee/espresso was excellent. However staff were rude from the outset. Had some sort of egg sandwich that was disgusting & greasy. Given the price I'd expect much better.
A bit disappointed. Grill cheese used to be an experience. Now the filling is still very good but the bread is ordinary. More like a panini bread barely grilled. For 25$, I expect better.
Phil Rosenthal (Somebody Feed Phil) visted here, so it was on our'must visit' list for our trip to Old Montreal.
Food quality & taste were beyond our expectations. Service was excellent. It was very busy when we arrived, but we were told it would only be a 10 minute wait. We sat outside on a bench, & waited to be called.
I admired the ambiance as we were shown to our table. It was full, & noisy, but so much that we couldn't talk to each other. Bonus points for whoever designed the sound system that played 80s music during our visit. Enough speakers to fill the room with sound, & the system didn't need to played loud to be enjoyed.
Coffee was superb. Just the right strength, with lovely notes of chocolate. I had the chicken melt, which was incredible. Real chicken pieces, sauce with a touch of heat, & toppings with just the right amount of savoury. Her panini was equally good. The star of the meal was the french roast. Heated all the way through, with the right balance of fruit, cheese, & syrop.
Service rapide & attentionné malgré l'achalandage. Le sandwich cubain était vraiment excellent mais pas donné. Vaut mieux le partager à deux.
Massive disappointment. Snooty & disinterested staff. Overpriced sandwiches that were so greasy they made us feel queasy.
