My adult daughter & I are visiting Montreal for the first time. She lives in Brooklyn & has easy access to all the cuisines of the world. Ethiopian food is one of her regular go-tos. As a vegetarian, it is perfect because it is filling, super nutritious & beautifully spiced. Even as a regular Ethiopian food-eater, she was blown away by everything about Nil Bleu! It was just down the main strip of Rue St Denis in the Plateau neighborhood where we are staying in Montreal. The staff was so kind & patient with us non-Francophones. When a couple left the primo window table before our food arrived, our server asked if we would like to move over there. We got the Mango mule cocktail & we both so surprised by the delightful flavor & freshness of the drink! The first course included so many interesting tastes & textures that we couldn't pick our favorite. The main course was equally varied & all so filling & delicious. We had a gorgeous vegan dinner-- it was perfect comfort food after a day of hiking Mount Royal in the snow, & it was perfectly healthy! I bet we had more vegetables in this meal than we had eaten in the week before! Every bite was more delicious than the last! The restaurant was gorgeous & the music was ethereal & soothing. What a special evening with kind folks, exquisite food, & beautiful ambiance. Thank you, Nil Bleu!
Adam, our server, was incredible, almost better than the food!! Impossible though because the food was out of this world. Best martini I have ever had too!!!
Adam & the chef were fantastic tonight. My first time trying this cuisine, & I'll always be back. Definitely a regular spot. Just incredible food, service, atmosphere.

Plenty light,the kitchen was very beautiful & rooms spacious & modern.My wife is in love with your bed & pillows. The open shower was hard to figure out but overall we both enjoyed . My wife did love the old jacuzzi better but change was bound to be since it's been 20 since we last stayed. There is no real patio & no separation with other rooms so sitting outside is a little awkward. Maybe a fan since the windows can't be open & it gets hot really quick in the Jacuzzi area with the heated floors. My wife loved those heated floors...please tell me what kind of mattress you use.my wife really wants to known. 4 star ✨ & we want to come back For sure . Special thanks for The front desk staff day & evening 🌆

The stay is really amazing, Adam(the FO) is so hospitable during our stay plus he upgraded our room with jacuzzi. Had a blast! Thank you & we will come back again
The restaurant was amazing! My guests really loved it. I wish the customer service experience was better prior to getting to the restaurant, in terms of the reservation & quicker follow-up regarding changes & having to make a deposit, which did not prove to be mandatory. The parking spot communicated on the website was not specified to be payable or not. Overall, I just wish the restaurant was bigger, & felt like the 1$ fee per guest to cut the cake that I brought a little unnecessary, but overall, the service was excellent, & waiter amazing. The portions were too big for some of my guests & some of my guests also unfortunately did not enjoy the food, in spite of it being really good. So I wondered if they may have had some hamburgers or hamburgers made of lentils for instance or lamb meat & fries, even if off menu to accommodate guests who may not end up loving this amazing cuisine. Beware, bring more money than expected. If you choose from the sample menu, you may still end up spending more money than expected. I would suggest bringing at least 100$ per person.
