Elevated Ethiopian food with incredible presentation!
I've had Ethiopian all over North America & by far, this is the most thoughtful presentation & elevated ambiance.
The beef tibs & chicken were both a bit tough & dry, but the starter appetizer outshined any issue.
There were also multiple large groups here, & a gorgeous white grand piano in the back. I wouldn't hesitate to make this an occasion spot! Well done on the decor & the vibe!
The food was delicious & the decor exceptional. It looks like small portions but overall it was kind of ok. Beware though, we had & entrée of Chicken Sambusa & it was only 2 pieces for 10$. Service was impeccable!!
Rarely a restaurant will fill 5 stars out of five on all levels. Le Nil Bleu is one of this 5 stars. Despite the 30 years restaurant's lifelong, i didn't know about it. A small place beside a small hotel. PROS: 1. The decor is luxurious, upper & lower level, even the corridor to the bathroom & the bathroom itself are nicely decorated
2. Spotless clean everywhere; before the meal, we were handed white warm towels on a plate to clean our hands
3. I took the tasting dish, so small quantities to taste a bit of everything. It was delicious, flavourful, i couldn't finish the second plate, i was full.
4. The waiters are bilingual, very respectfull, they explain every dish.
Thank you Francis & thank you Stefano, who came out in the street with me to help with parking details.
5. Paid street parking or free after 9 pm
We always enjoy the fine ethiopian cuisine served at Le Nil Bleu. Very attentive & knowledgeable service staff along with an amazing & relaxing decor makes it for a great experience each time. We highly recommend.
Great hotel in a walkable neighbourhood close to great shopping, parks, & cafes & restaurants. The room was very comfortable & the service was super friendly & attentive. We'd recommend hotel Kutuma for those looking for a comfortable stay in Montreal's Le Plateau. Blue Nile restaurant, attached to the hotel, is also recommended for an excellent meal. Food, service, decor all made for a memorable experience.
Quel excellent restaurant! Quelle sublime décoration sans aucune fausse note ! & quel service authentique, professionnel, souriant. Merci pour cet excellent moment que vous nous avez fait vivre en famille
