Here to say that this is one of my top picks in Montréal !
The restaurant is sooo well priced considering the incredibly good food & the service (the alcohol is veeeeeery tasty too).
It was my first time trying Russian food & i'm really happy it was at this specific place ✨?
One of my favourite bars in the city! The food is amazing & the drinks are just as good. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, & the portions, especially the drinks, are super generous. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & the bar itself is beautifully & tastefully decorated. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.
A little pricy for the portion size but all good ingredients & unique recipes make the experience worth it. They let me stay the whole shift from start to finish without bothering me. They were super polite & good humoured even after I brought up the high price point. To me that shows this is a good business. They really value their customers enough to not be dismissive or angry about criticism.
Great traditional dishes at very reasonable prices! Their pilmeni are top notch, & personable service
Nice vibe, food was decent. Just extremely small portions, not worth the price, & slow service. Once again, not a horrible spot, but I just didn't find it worth it in my opinion.
Probably the best & possibly only place to find Adjaruli Khachapuri in Montreal that I've found. It's the Georgian cheese bread in the boat shape. Definitely modified with extra ingredients & more pizza-like but still delicious!
Olivier salad was good. Pelmeni also good. Love those dishes.
A bit of an'elevated' &'trendy' place, so the price point matches it too, even though these foods originated from a simpler (inexpensive) place.
Lovely staff. Good cocktail menu.
Great option for dinner. Will keep coming back.
Food was ok, I wouldn't say it was amazing. Portion sizes are very small & prices are high for what you get. The donuts were very good.
Just amazing. Stopped in on a whim & were blown away by how great the food was! We were looking for a casual place with delicious food at an affordable price, with outdoor seating (we had our 3 year old with us). It scored on all counts. Perfect casual environment outside & amazing food, drinks & service. We got the veal dumplings, the chicken dumplings & the spinach & cheese cheeseboat. The cheeseboat was good but the dumplings were so delicious I'd just order more of those instead next time. We were talking about them the rest of the night, & wish we had another night in Montreal so we could go back! Also - try the Sasha shots!
I had a mixed experience. The food was delicious & the prices were reasonable, but the service was disappointing. Our server seemed overwhelmed & it took a long time to place our orders, receive our food, & get the check. The wait was excessive & it felt like we were neglected for parts of the meal. While the food was tasty & the prices were fair, the slow & inattentive service detracted from our overall experience. With some improvements in service, this restaurant could be a great option, but for now, I would caution others to be prepared for a wait.
I came here recently & it was a very surprising location as it is not on a very well walked path in the city. But I'm glad I came here. The atmosphere is fantastic with dimly lit & somewhat more ambient lighting & excellent artistic pieces on the wall. The service was great & had a great variety of traditional foods & drinks. The prices were fairly comparable to other places in the city with no real drink or food specials mentioned. But the quality of the food & drinks were in my opinion. Very good. Our server was really attentive & helpful & I really enjoyed my experience there & would go back again.
Me & my partner were very excited to find a place that serves Khachapuri, it was very delicious as expected. We ordered 2 borscht , 2 khachapuri & a pitcher of mule. The mule was very good as well. The borscht was okay. We knew that since the location was in the old port it would be a little pricey but for 2 appetizers, 2 single portions of khachapuri & a pitcher of mule totalled 110$ before tip. The mule was expected price as cocktails in Montréal prices are on par, but 50$ for 2 soups & 2 khachapuri was a bit much, I also ordered the "saucy braised beef & pickle khachapuri" (18$) & it was more like beef bits sparsely covering the small cheese boat. It could have maybe came with a side portion of Russian salad or cabbage, since the size of the khachapuri is comparison to a large slice of pizza. Additionally we even decided to have dessert at home since the bill was already racked up. Unfortunately, We won't be going back.
More of a cocktail bar than a place for food. Portions are SUPER small. Also drinks are super pricey for what is served. Large ice cubes kinda place if you catch my drift.... It's a fun place to hang out but it's way over priced
This Russian restaurant/bar in Old Port offers delicious cuisine at reasonable prices, although the portions are a tad small. The staff's warmth shines through, as they generously offered us complimentary shots. The captivating decor seamlessly blends Russian & Soviet styles, making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience - a solid 5/5.
Nothing outstanding (very basic Russian cuisine - nothing wow) & very little quantity for the high price tag, So it's definitely not worth going here more than one time. But service & atmosphere were really top notch!
I was wandering around & had no expectations when entering Nevski the other night, what a surprise! The staff are passionate & super caring for their customers, they really want to share their knowledge on Eastern European food & vodka! The small restaurant is a hidden gem & is worth every penny, the quality of the food is incredible considering the price you pay. I will definitely go back thanks to Darek (I think that's how you pronounce his name) & his crew!
