The menu features hearty staples such as savory meat-filled pelmeni, rich borscht, and tender beef stroganoff prepared with precise technique. Guests find a focused selection of dishes designed to provide substantial textures and deep, savory flavor profiles. The interior aesthetic reflects a rustic influence, prioritizing functional comfort over modern decorative flourishes. Each plate highlights ingredients central to the region, including root vegetables, fermented garnishes, and high-quality proteins. This establishment functions as a direct venue for those seeking classic, unpretentious Eastern European recipes served in a straightforward environment. The culinary approach remains strictly loyal to established regional preparation methods, ensuring consistent outcomes for every item served within the room.

We had two orders of dumplings plus borsch, carrot salad, & a cheese boat, there was not a single bite left of any of it! Every bit is homemade, affordable, lively local bar restaurant scene. Wish it was closer to home (we live in Colorado).

Formerly great - now barely mediocre.

A boat that was the size the entire plate now shrunk by 25%.

Two drinks, which also shrunk for some reason.

10 pelmeni for 16$? Insanity.

You can get a full kilogram at epicure for 10$.

Two people sharing dishes, left hungry, but 100$ poorer.

Not coming back again. Very sad.

Upon making a reservation for someone with reduced mobility & myself, I added a comment to put us at a regular table (no bar stool). I make this accessibility request for all our restaurant reservations. Restaurants usually acquiesce.

But Nevski went above & beyond. I received a call a few hours prior to our reservation to validate the accessibility need mentioned & any other we may have. They also volunteer information for the most accessible way in & accessible parking. Even going as far as offering that someone meet us on a street corner to guide & assist us.

Though in this case these measures were not necessary, I think it speaks volumes as to their accessibility policy & outstanding service.

We had a lovely time at Nevski. The atmosphere was welcoming, fun, & loud. Tables were hard to come by when we went, & I don't usually like sitting at the bar, but this was a great place to do that. We had borsht, pirozhki, & a cheese boat, all of which were delicious, & we'd enthusiastically recommend them. The staff were fun & friendly, & we're an obviously LGBTQ+ couple, so that counted for extra with us.

One of my favourite bars in the city! The food is amazing & the drinks are just as good. Prices are very reasonable for what you get, & the portions, especially the drinks, are super generous. The staff is always friendly & welcoming, & the bar itself is beautifully & tastefully decorated. Definitely a spot I keep coming back to.

Amazing cocktail bar with a russian vibe in Old Port Montréal. They make great classic martinis & mules. Ruslan, our bartender, was very insightful about the cocktails stories & folklore. Blinis, dumplings & zuski for a great cocktail & food pairing. Fun for staff party & friend gatherings.

More of a cocktail bar than a place for food. Portions are SUPER small. Also drinks are super pricey for what is served. Large ice cubes kinda place if you catch my drift.... It's a fun place to hang out but it's way over priced

This Russian restaurant/bar in Old Port offers delicious cuisine at reasonable prices, although the portions are a tad small. The staff's warmth shines through, as they generously offered us complimentary shots. The captivating decor seamlessly blends Russian & Soviet styles, making it a thoroughly enjoyable experience - a solid 5/5.
