Review Summary

Nevski is described as a unique spot in Montreal offering authentic Eastern European and Russian inspired dishes such as borscht, pelmeni, varenikis, pirozhki and a memorable cheese boat, with cocktails and vodka infusions earning particular praise. Service is consistently noted as friendly, welcoming, and professional, contributing to a warm, atmospheric dining experience. Many reviewers highlight strong value for the quality, with generous drinks and reasonably priced menu items, though some critique small portions and occasional higher prices. Occasionally items are missing from the menu, and service can be slow on busy nights, with seating at times tight, especially near the bar. The ambiance is described as stylish, cozy and with a distinctive Russian vibe, including decor and live music at times, making it a memorable backdrop. Overall the reviews position Nevski as a top pick and a hidden gem in Montreal, recommended for those seeking unique flavors and a vibrant, convivial atmosphere.

Borscht is not available starting from the dinner time. Was not taken away from the bill when paid.

The food is authentic Russian 🪆 food & the service is great. Most of the staff actually speak Russian & are super nice 👍🙂. I would recommend to check their social media feed & go for a special event. We were there for'Maslinitsa' which is a special holiday & they serve delicious 🤤 crapes 🥞 🍯 I don't usually even like sweets but it was delicious. We also had the borscht which was ok, the pelmeni 🥟 with 🍄 were delicious & the drinks 🍻🍷 🍸 were very original as well. Over all great experience well worth checking out. Only negative is that we were seating all the way in the back & it was super hot in the winter ❄?☃? time as I guess people near the entrance must feel a breese. The live music was absolutely great. 🎶 🎷. *The entrance is not easy to find it's actually on the little side street between King 👑 & Queen streets.

A colleague from Russia strongly recommended me to come to Nevski, as the cuisine & ambiance are authentic Russian. I really enjoyed the cheeseboat (spinach & peppers), borscht, & multi-layered cake. The waiters were very attentive & most helpful in guiding me as to the best dishes to sample. The mule (with ginger beer & mint) was so refreshing! I look forward to returning soon!

Me & my partner were very excited to find a place that serves Khachapuri, it was very delicious as expected. We ordered 2 borscht , 2 khachapuri & a pitcher of mule. The mule was very good as well. The borscht was okay. We knew that since the location was in the old port it would be a little pricey but for 2 appetizers, 2 single portions of khachapuri & a pitcher of mule totalled 110$ before tip. The mule was expected price as cocktails in Montréal prices are on par, but 50$ for 2 soups & 2 khachapuri was a bit much, I also ordered the "saucy braised beef & pickle khachapuri" (18$) & it was more like beef bits sparsely covering the small cheese boat. It could have maybe came with a side portion of Russian salad or cabbage, since the size of the khachapuri is comparison to a large slice of pizza. Additionally we even decided to have dessert at home since the bill was already racked up. Unfortunately, We won't be going back.

Beautifully decorated. Great vibe. The borscht was delicious! A lot of the non meat dishes had fresh dill. Such a refreshing taste but almost on all our dishes. Wish they had different sauces or spices. But then we thought...hmmm maybe the fresh sour cream & dill is their main sauce, just like Vietnamese food & their fish sauce!
But I will definitely eat this again.
