They are only open for tourists not for those living in the city. Also, maybe if the guy wasn't so rude about it I wouldn't have been so offended but when you have someone who made a whole trip to get there & didn't make it'on time' (while the store should have still been open another 30-45 minutes), at least show some empathy when explaining instead of looking down on them & shooing them out. Though I didn't try anything, that type of behaviour really discouraged any attempt to come back (& I had planned with many friends on top of it but will share my experience with them).
The cutest ghibli cafe in Montreal! This place is mainly for breakfast, lunch, & dessert. They have plenty of drink & food options. We tried their signature creme brulee crepe & also their matcha latte with a special totoro latte art. Everything tasted super delicious . The atmosphere is super cozy & the decorations are so cute! Theres mainly totoro stuff. Would totally recommend if you're walking around old port
Personally, I like the Military latte better than the matcha latte.
Muru Crêpe is a lovely cafe. We enjoyed the chicken sandwich & fabuleux crêpe. The military latte is different, delicious & so cute. The staff were friendly & service was fast which was especially helpful with a toddler in tow. My kids loved the fish tank near the washroom. The themed decor is fun. My family would go back.
Muru Crepe is an absolute must-visit if you're wandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal.
I stumbled upon this spot looking for a quick bite, & it ended up being the highlight of my morning.
The crepes are perfection-light, golden, & slightly crisp at the edges. I tried the Matcha Tiramisu crepe, & the balance of flavors was incredible. Not too sweet, just purely decadent.
Everything is Instagram-ready. From the delicate plating to the beautiful latte, hot chocolate & capuchino art, you can tell the chefs truly care about the details.
The atmosphere is cozy, modern, & welcoming. It's the perfect escape from the busy tourist areas while still capturing that historic Old Port charm.
The staff was incredibly friendly & patient while I decided between their many tempting options.
Whether you're looking for a sweet treat or a savory lunch, Muru Crepe delivers. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the city!
They definitely deserve five stars ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?
Soooo cute! Hojicha latte with a light tea taste, recommend with sweet dish!
Cute little café/ brunch spot in the Old port of Montreal. Big menu with lots of variety. There are sweet & savory dishes to please everyone. The drink menu is also very vast. We tried the lattes & they were delicious (& huge). The crème brulee crepe is a MUST.
Such a charming café & brunch spot in Old Montreal! Most items on the menu are under 20$, the latte art is incredible & very nice & helpful staff, always good times at Muru! I highly recommend the Crème Brûlée crêpe!
Très bon & service rapide ! Je vous recommande la latte au caramel salé chaud (avec dessin dans le lait) ou froid. Délicieux 😙
Great food! We had brunch & wonderful coffee & matcha latte.
We were able to get in without any wait (weekday)
We chanced on this delightful eatery & we we're served the most delicious crepes surrounded by super cute Studio Ghibli decor. The service was friendly & speedy plus their latte comes decorated with My Neighbour Totoro 😍. Make sure to pay them a visit you will not be disapointed.
Food was good & decor was ok (more a cafe with Ghibli decorations than a fully themed space) but the chai latte was bland & diluted. The drink tasted more like the cinnamon topping (does not include themed latte art) than actual tea & not worth the extra dollar you have to pay for alternative milk. Food was ok but the drinks are 50/50 told staff about it but were dismissive & cared more about checking out & getting us out the door than dealing with comment.
Have been going to this restaurant for years. Great service & tasty food. Love the matcha latte with oatmilk.
Wow, what a gem! We stopped in for breakfast while visiting the Old Port & it was honestly one of the highlights of our weekend. The service was outstanding - super personal, friendly, & so attentive, it really made us feel welcome. The crêpes were next-level delicious (the crème brûlée one was out of this world!). The coffees were perfect, & our kids were over the moon with their hot chocolates. I also tried the avocado toast with bacon & loved it - such a great combo. If you're looking for a cozy, delicious spot to start your day in Montreal, this place is a must. We'll definitely be back!
As a matcha lover, I would not recommend the matcha latte. The flavor does not taste like authentic matcha, but more like a green tea blend you can easily find elsewhere. The star is for the latte art & atmosphere.
