Reviews describe Muru Crêpe as a charming Totoro themed café in Old Montreal with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that suits families and travelers alike. Crepes are praised for being light, golden, and slightly crisp at the edges, with standout options like the crème brûlée crepe and matcha tiramisu crepe, alongside a wide range of sweet and savory choices. Latte art and visually striking drinks, including rose latte and hojicha and matcha beverages, appear frequently in praise along with strong coffee and tea. The decor is repeatedly noted as adorable and Instagram ready, perfectly matching the Studio Ghibli Totoro theme. Service is described as friendly and efficient, though the small space can lead to wait times and occasional slower pacing when busy. Some reviews mention prices as a bit high for portions, but many feel the quality, atmosphere, and experience justify the cost. Fans of the theme often call it a must visit and say they would return for the charming environment and tasty crepes.
The cutest ghibli cafe in Montreal! This place is mainly for breakfast, lunch, & dessert. They have plenty of drink & food options. We tried their signature creme brulee crepe & also their matcha latte with a special totoro latte art. Everything tasted super delicious . The atmosphere is super cozy & the decorations are so cute! Theres mainly totoro stuff. Would totally recommend if you're walking around old port
Muru Crepe is an absolute must-visit if you're wandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal.
I stumbled upon this spot looking for a quick bite, & it ended up being the highlight of my morning.
The crepes are perfection-light, golden, & slightly crisp at the edges. I tried the Matcha Tiramisu crepe, & the balance of flavors was incredible. Not too sweet, just purely decadent.
Everything is Instagram-ready. From the delicate plating to the beautiful latte, hot chocolate & capuchino art, you can tell the chefs truly care about the details.
The atmosphere is cozy, modern, & welcoming. It's the perfect escape from the busy tourist areas while still capturing that historic Old Port charm.
The staff was incredibly friendly & patient while I decided between their many tempting options.
Whether you're looking for a sweet treat or a savory lunch, Muru Crepe delivers. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the city!
They definitely deserve five stars ⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?

Such a charming café & brunch spot in Old Montreal! Most items on the menu are under 20$, the latte art is incredible & very nice & helpful staff, always good times at Muru! I highly recommend the Crème Brûlée crêpe!
Food was good & decor was ok (more a cafe with Ghibli decorations than a fully themed space) but the chai latte was bland & diluted. The drink tasted more like the cinnamon topping (does not include themed latte art) than actual tea & not worth the extra dollar you have to pay for alternative milk. Food was ok but the drinks are 50/50 told staff about it but were dismissive & cared more about checking out & getting us out the door than dealing with comment.
As a matcha lover, I would not recommend the matcha latte. The flavor does not taste like authentic matcha, but more like a green tea blend you can easily find elsewhere. The star is for the latte art & atmosphere.

Stayed at a hotel 5 mins away (fate??) & obviously dragged my boyfriend here. The latte art was even cuter in person, the portions were huge, & the whole place felt like a warm hug.
Super cute cafe in a great area. The whole cafe is decorated in Totoro! They also have quick service with yummy fresh food. Simple ingredients nothing too crazy. My caramel macchiato also came with latte art!
Visited this adorable café during a trip to Montreal & absolutely loved it!
We went on a weekday & got a table right away. The food was delicious, the service was efficient & friendly, & the latte art was seriously impressive. A cozy little spot that's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!
Cute & small cafe, not many seats available so there could be some wait time depending on the day. Food was ok, great staff very welcoming & cute latte art, that's the gimmick of the place.
TOTORO themed cafe! とてもかわいい!The crepes were really flavourful. We tried the Chicken white wine crepe, & the Banana Brulee. So good!! The drinks were also really good. Nice touch with the totoro latte art!

This is the BEST place for breakfast/brunch/lunch in the world. The staff is so kind & attentive. Not to mention, super talented with the latte art. Every single thing I got from the menu was soooooo good. You can't go wrong with anything. Merci beaucoup, Emily!
Everyone else's latte art is that Totoro chinchilla, & I got this angry hamster 😂 my husband always calls me an angry hamster, what a coincidence 😃😂 nice food & atmosphere!
Went here on the final day of my trip to Montreal. It was really pleasant, my friend had recommended the place & the first thing I noticed was the decor. As a fan of Ghibli I really enjoyed a lot of the My Neighbor Totoro decorations. As for the food, it was my first time having a crepe & I really found it delicious. The M12 was packed which allowed me to taste almost all of the ingredients. Their matcha latte was also pretty good & I liked seeing latte art in person for the first time lol. If I ever come back to Montreal, I'd take my friends here, it was really good.
For Totoro Fans, Muru is a must visit! The cafe is colorful, cute & cozy with themed art from Studio Ghibli's Totoro. We reached the cafe at 1.40pm in the afternoon & they close at 2.30pm. & so, the kitchen wasn't taking any more food orders but we ended up getting an iced coffee, just to spend time with the little Totoro-world in Montreal. We weren't disappointed. The staff is warm, friendly & accommodating. We will come back for the crepe!
Great place for a lunch date, we tried their Crêpe Crème Brûlée & it was excellent. You could share it but you may not want to. We liked the Studio Ghibli theme especially the castle in the sky art. The service was great for french & english speakers, didnt wait long for a seat, a hidden gem of the city.
