A typical Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Food was authentic & comforting. We ordered a soup, steamed oysters & four dishes. But one dish was forgotten, only arrived after several reminders & we had already finished our meal. When asked for a container to take the forgotten dish home, the waiter pointing me to a shelf to self-serve.
We are from out of town. Restaurant Mon Nan was great! Fantastic Chinese food. Authentic. They provide hot tea entire meal which is a nice touch. Rotating table for family style. Affordable for large quantities of food.
Best Chinese food I've had in Montréal hands down. Authentic flavors made fresh! You know the place is good when is packed! Try the Soft Shell Crab, you won't regret it!
Great authentic Chinese food! The service is really fast, food is delicious, the portions are great & prices are very good.
By far the best Chinese restaurant in town! Not only the food is delicious, but the owners are awesome & accommodating, the cooking is authentic & high quality. Definitely recommend this place as it is my go to🙌🏼✌🏼
It's very authentic Chinese food. Love all 3 dishes we ordered
Great place for some fresh, delicious, authentic food! Big plates & great suggestions from the waitress. If you want an authentic option in Chinatown, but not too overwhelming - this is the place for you! The dumplings are made fresh, on site by their chef. Must try! Love the Cantonese selections too!
The Good: - Authentic delicious Chinese menu - The salt & pepper shrimps are an absolute must. Shrimps were fried to the right temperature & they're perfectly crispy - The vegetarian spring rolls were super delicious & has the right thickness with a nice crispness to them with a very balanced filling The Not So Good: - General tao was dunked in super thick super sweet sauce & the chicken was over fried -
If you want to try authentic Chinese food, visit Mon Nan in MTL Chinatown. It's a hidden gem. We ordered 6 different dishes: shrimp salad noodles 🍜, shrimp momo, Tao ming noodles, & others. Portion sizes are worth the price, & food is delicious. I will definitely recommend it to others.🙂
