Have been 3 times now & each time as exquisite as the last. Yesterday we had the breakfast schnitzel, the chicken salad sandwich special, the hash browns, coffee & a donut & holyyy. Absolutely fantastic. The service is great there, the coffee is strong, the interior is beautiful with a ton of natural light & the high ceilings are great. Over 10/10 breakfast spot & I'm not sure I'll ever come to Montreal again without going here for brunch before we leave

The best service I have ever received. The waitresses were friendly, the atmosphere very nice, I loved the design of the restaurant & the food was perfect. The sauce of the chicken is amazing!
Beautiful venue & delicious food! We particularly enjoyed the crab soup, the chicken, fries, & the house rolls. The beef tartare was good but a bit chewy so I'd pass on it next time.
This was our favorite restaurant of our 4 nights in Montreal. Just unpretentious great food! The roasted chicken was da bomb. Excellent service & atmosphere!
We ordered a spread of different things. The rolls & rotisserie chicken was great but everything else wasn't anything special. The raspberry lemonade tasted watered down (or tasted like there was barely any sugar) it was more like flavored water. The service on the other hand was top notch & worth mentioning!
Great great food. We took a lot of things on the menu. I strongly recommend the rotisserie chicken, the schnitzel, the brussel sprouts, the salad with pumpkin seads & the pasta with zucchini. All of those were fabulous! French fries were dry & uninteresting. The eggplants were lacking salt & spices. The drinks were ok nothing more to my taste. The restaurant looks very cool, it's friendly & trendy. The staff is very nice & kind. I would go back.
My favorite restaurant in Montreal thus far! I could spend hours here just enjoying the vibe alone, but the food is also spectacular. I particularly enjoyed the roasted chicken & gravy, as well as the donuts. I can't wait to come back.

My fav place! Everything here is top notch. The deep fried rotisserie chicken balls are why I come here though, they melt in your mouth! We stop every time we go to Montreal, sometimes even twice ;)) try the pecan pie & the doughnuts as well, sooooo good!
The prime rib was incredible as well as the salad & chicken croquette. Enough for 2 adults & one child. Finished off with home made donuts. Staff were great. Perfect night!

Came here for dinner & had a fantastic meal! We got the Moscow mule & Bloody Caesar for drinks. Started the meal with a tomato salad from their daily specials & the zesty Italian beef tartare. The tomato salad had pine nuts, basil & a delightful dressing. The beef tartare was served with endive & so delicious! We got the honey garlic spare ribs, rotisserie chicken Alexandre & fries to share. The spare ribs were so tasty - sweet & sticky. The rotisserie chicken was so good!! The sauce was so savoury - would highly recommend the rotisserie chicken & the beef tartare! The fries were shoe string cut, nicely seasoned & came with a Dijonaise. The staff were all extremely attentive & service was amazing! The restaurant space is so open & spacious. It has a great vibe. The string lights were a nice touch. They have plants everywhere - I loved it all! They also have a foosball table near the bathrooms & people were actually playing. Would highly recommend!
This restaurant was a great vibe. The decor & ambiance is awesome; modern yet still respecting the history of the building. For it's location, parking is surprisingly simple with a lot & attendant. Free for restaurant go-ers! Drink service was very slow. Some of us not receiving drinks (glasses of wine) until after food was already at the table. Not sure if this is a server issue or a logistical issue. The food is delicious & very shareable. Rolls & deviled Brussel sprouts are a must! The signature chicken is every bit the star. All in all, I can't wait to go back & experience McKiernan again & again.
The dinner menu is better than the lunch one but either way the food is really good !!! The pecan pie 🥧 uff is a must !!! The chicken, the donuts, everything is really good!! The ambience super nice also & the service very good Cesar was taking care of us & he is the best !!!
Had high hopes- was disappointed. The rolls were standard, chicken croquettes under seasoned & was misled by the "meat special". Thought we had a choice of roast beef or steak.... just got a tomahawk for $140- with 2 yorkshire puds... no sides (no veg, no potatoes, nothing)... sorry, was not worth the price at all. Would not go back, would not recommend. Just nothing special about this place- & at $140 served with nothing.... a yorkshire pudding costs cents to make. Adding some fries or roasted potatoes or a simple veg would be normal. Big NO from me.
We had a Sunday dinner reservation for 8 people amd it was a first at McKiernan's for most of our guests & certainly won't be the last! Top notch, friendly service as always & imcredible food! We took the Family Supper group menu, which offers variety & excellent value. Everyone was beyond impressed. Salad, brussel sprouts, beef tartare, burrata, chicken, ribs, pasta...all cooked to perfection👌 McKiernan's never disssapoints. Until next time!
Had a wonderful meal at McKiernan Rôtisserie. The staff was friendly & attentive & added to the experience. The deviled Brussel sprouts were to die for! The schnitzel was excellent & a good portion size. The chicken was moist & very flavorful. I found the shoestring fries a bit overdone but still tasty. Would recommend to anyone wanting a nice dinner. The dishes make for a lovely sharing experience.
Ok so here is the verdict. I've been & ordered in from mckiernan a handful of times over the years. Can't complain about the food, it's tasty & you get what you pay for. Very nice portions & an amazing spot to go with a big group. If I had to recommend: pastas are not my favorite, but croquettes, Brussels, beef tartare & chicken are great.
