Has to be one of THE most perfect appetisers I have ever had. The flavours are exceptional & soaking up the aioli, bomba puree, pine nut, lemon, olive oil & Prosecco sauce with the freshly baked focaccia was just off the charts. & no, not paid for this review. It is that good
Cuisine avec du goût ! Le serveur ou manager est très aimable ! Je recommande ce bon restaurant italien !
Must : Salade César, burrata, focaccia
Even though it's hard to find anything to complain about at Mano, it's still difficult not to compre to how it was when it first opened.
Service is a touch slower & isn't as friendly as it was when the owners were still there hanging out, but it's still pretty good. Though there is clear favouritism amongst their friends who come to hang out & who order bottles. The focaccia isn't as fresh & fluffy & ... big as it used to be. The pasta dishes? Slightly smaller than usual & sometimes undercooked these days.
With all that said...I think the bar is still set really high. You will struggle to find similar overall service & value anywhere else.
The food they serve is excellent. My favourite has to be the focaccia. It is just impeccable.
On the other hand, I would say that the portion of their dishes is quite small for the price.
Literally cannot describe the quality of this food. It is unreal. The focaccia is epic. Always enjoy the crudo & caesar salad. Everything is delicious!!
Best sandwich I've ever had. The focaccia is incredible. Tried the classic & the prociutto, both were unique & excellent. I really liked the Ceasar salad as well. The patio was a good size & a nice setting as well.
Great spot for lunch - we stopped on a Monday for a quick lunch & had the crudo, cichetti & olives for appetizers with 2 drinks. Everything was excellent, fresh & arrived rapidly. We then shared a schiacciate (sandwich with focaccia-like bread) & a ceasar salad. The sandwich was really good, although no life-changing. They had their own spin on the ceasar, with a sweeter dressing than what I'm used to.
Service is A+
Total was 100$ + tip for 3 appetizers, 2 mains & 2 drinks.
Only downside is that is was 35+ outside & there is no AC (although it's probably worse for people working in the kitchen)
What an amazing italian restaurant! Everything from the quality of the ingredients, the cozy ambiance, to the wonderful service is perfect.
The salad & its dressing was super tasty, deifnitely a very nice twist of the average caesar salad. Also the quantity & quality was just ideal. & the focaccia bread? Very nice.
I had a great time sitting at the bar, & watching them prepare different pastries while waiting for my dish.
Je suis venue plusieurs fois & je n'ai jamais été déçue. La nourriture est excellente. C'est frais & goûteux. La focaccia avec ricotta est délicieuse. Je recommande de partager plusieurs plats!
First time at Mano Cornuto. Had a great beef carpaccio for appi with focaccia, followed by pesto pasta for me & mushroom pasta for my wife. We sat at the bar & enjoyed watching the staff work & chefs prepare meals. Would strongly recommend.
Stopped in for a quick lunch & lucked out as we didn't make a reso. Definitely recommend making one! Great vibes & fantastic service. While we waited for our table, we watched the well oiled kitchen do their thing. Our mouths watered in anticipation. Their menu is simple & short. You know it's going to be good! Order the Caesar salad. You'll be sorry if you don't! So good! We also shared the burrata that came with the most delicious focaccia bread. We shared 2 pastas to taste - tonnarelli pesto & fiorentini alla bolognese. Both super tasty & perfectly cooked.
I'd heard from a friend that he has a friend who is Italian & family hails from there. Mano Cornuto is the only place that they will take their family. & there's a reason why. Because it's just so damn good. I studied in Italy for a brief period, & learned that you don't have to spend a lot of money to eat really well. I worked in Italy for a longer period, & learned that a lot of money got you some pretty exceptional food. Mano Cornuto drives right up the middle. It's pretty exceptional food for not a lot of money. It's a pretty casual place, big line ups, & everything is excellent. Some of the best focaccia sandwiches I've ever had. Interesting specials on pastas with the regulars always good. Good drinks, nice patio in warmer weather. Best thing ever is that it's an eight minute walk from where I live. Frankly, I think, deep down inside, it was one of the deciding factors in locating our place. Oh, & the tiramisu (pull my heart in English) absolutely yanks on your heart.
Très bon, sans prétention. Les pâtes au pesto sont un vrai régal. Pareil pour la burrata, la focaccia, la salade César... Bref, tout est très bon. On y retourne encore & encore !
Dommage. Les verres de cocktails étaient bons.
Focaccia is really light & airy. Had the Classico sandwich which is an amazing combination of savoury & sweet.
Starter was very good (focaccia with burrata & tomatoes) but mains were not great. It was a bit expensive for what you got & annoyingly, there were a lot of flies in the restaurant.
Absolutely insane food. Everything was so good, service was fast, & I loved the open kitchen concept by the bar so you can watch the chefs cook! The menu is just right-not too many options so as to be overwhelmed, but every dish had its own spin, be it a unique pasta shape or an unexpected flavor profile. We had the burrata with focaccia (10/10), the bolognese, & one of the pesto pasta dishes. The dessert menu was excellent as well, which is not always the case for dinner establishments-we thoroughly enjoyed the pistachio coffee cake & tiramisu with a bit of an orange zest kick. Servers were prompt & friendly.
