a friend brought us here while visiting montreal & we absolutely loved the food. the atmosphere is so beautiful, the servers are all wonderful & the food is inspired & well done. you can clearly taste the freshness & creativity in the recipes which is hard to find in other persian restaurants.
highly recommend the chengeh kebab, & if you know whats good for you, get some extra Tahdig on the side. the appetizer tray is a MUST, & i would recommend adding the pickled garlic if you like garlic. In the apps, their kashke bademjan, mirza ghasemi, & olives were AMAZING.
Also got to try the fesenjoon & their special ghormeh sabzi with lamb shank (wow!) & both were great, albeit slightly too oily for my taste. they all leaked through the containers & bags for our leftovers.
there's complimentary soup at the start which was a great surprise & tasted homemade. overall a great experience. i personally dont enjoy traditional persian cuisine much & dont really eat out often, but if i lived in montreal i would come back here for sure. maman sady is an inspired chef & thats what i like to see more of in persian restaurants.
Insane ridiculously yummy persian food. My first time trying fesenjoon & it was so delicious & filling. Loved all the dips for the appetizers & the complimentary chicken soup put me in a coma.
Tried the chenjeh & Maman's Special Ghormeh Sabzeh which were both so excellent.
Every single bite was pure joy. The waiter even threw in some free sholeh zard.
I've been to this place multiple times now, visiting from outside of Montreal, & I can say it's one of the closest things to homemade Iranian food. The Gheyme Nesar was phenomenal, better than any I've had elsewhere. All the other dishes were great & tasty too. The service was phenomenal, they even gave us soup for free, & it was insanely delicious. The staff are very kind & welcoming. I 100% recommend this place if you'd like to try authentic Iranian food.
I don't live in Montreal & the first time I came here was a few months ago with a friend when we were visiting for a week. During that stay we came here 3 times because we've never had Persian food this good. Their Ghormeh Sabzi is with lamb shank & it's amazing. I also loved their Fesenjun, Kabob Torsh, & Chenge. I came back to stay for a few months & I've told almost all my friends visiting to come here & they also loved it as well.
The food is delicious But it is so greasy we were not able to complete 2 spoons
Loved the experience here. Very nice decor, friendly service & the food is on point! Meat tender, rice fragrant, overall everything is tasty, even the chicken soup ! Will come back for sure!
The food was good(soltani & lamb shank). But
They forgot to bring us soup
Took long time to bring the bill,
But overall very good🤌🏽
I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats.
I ordered the saffron chicken kebab, but there was hardly a trace of saffron. It tasted much more like yogurt-marinated chicken than a proper saffron chicken kebab.
This is honestly not a good representation of authentic Persian cuisine or traditional Iranian kebab.
I also ordered the Barg kebab, which was neither tender nor juicy. In fact, it was quite tough.
To make matters worse, the prices are very high. At this price point, I expected a much higher level of quality. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience
