a friend brought us here while visiting montreal & we absolutely loved the food. the atmosphere is so beautiful, the servers are all wonderful & the food is inspired & well done. you can clearly taste the freshness & creativity in the recipes which is hard to find in other persian restaurants.
highly recommend the chengeh kebab, & if you know whats good for you, get some extra Tahdig on the side. the appetizer tray is a MUST, & i would recommend adding the pickled garlic if you like garlic. In the apps, their kashke bademjan, mirza ghasemi, & olives were AMAZING.
Also got to try the fesenjoon & their special ghormeh sabzi with lamb shank (wow!) & both were great, albeit slightly too oily for my taste. they all leaked through the containers & bags for our leftovers.
there's complimentary soup at the start which was a great surprise & tasted homemade. overall a great experience. i personally dont enjoy traditional persian cuisine much & dont really eat out often, but if i lived in montreal i would come back here for sure. maman sady is an inspired chef & thats what i like to see more of in persian restaurants.
I ordered from this restaurant through Uber Eats.
I ordered the saffron chicken kebab, but there was hardly a trace of saffron. It tasted much more like yogurt-marinated chicken than a proper saffron chicken kebab.
This is honestly not a good representation of authentic Persian cuisine or traditional Iranian kebab.
I also ordered the Barg kebab, which was neither tender nor juicy. In fact, it was quite tough.
To make matters worse, the prices are very high. At this price point, I expected a much higher level of quality. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience
Today, I had the chance to visit this restaurant again after more than a year, & it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful new decor & inviting atmosphere. The environment is very calm, relaxing, & enjoyable.
The host was incredibly warm, welcoming, & friendly, which made the experience even more pleasant.
The soup was absolutely outstanding. The kebab was delicious, perfectly cooked, & full of flavor. The Kebab Torsh was also exceptionally tasty & one of the highlights of the meal. To finish, the tea was very flavorful & enjoyable.
Overall, a great dining experience, & I look forward to coming back again.💚
I ordered the chicken kebab with rice & the lamb shank with rice.
The chicken kebab wasn't really worth the price, in my opinion. The lamb shank was decent, but the side dishes were quite limited.
One nice thing is that when you order a main dish, it comes with either soup or salad. The atmosphere was also pleasant & enjoyable. Overall, the ambiance was good.
The food was delicious. The complimentary soup served at the beginning was especially tasty, & all of the kebabs we ordered were well-seasoned, juicy, & perfectly cooked.
The Zeytoon Parvardeh was also quite good.
If they served Iranian rice, I would say the entire experience would be flawless.
The service & hospitality were excellent, & the staff were very welcoming.
I will definitely be coming back to this restaurant
Like the food, a little pricey but worth it, people in the kitchen know about real Persian kebab concept, I like this place, highly recommended 👌
Absolutely one of the best Persian restaurants in Montreal. The food tastes homemade, fresh, & full of flavor. The kebabs were perfectly cooked, the rice was fragrant, & the atmosphere felt warm & welcoming. Service was attentive without being intrusive, & the portions were generous. You can really feel the care that goes into every dish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine.
We were a group of eight people, & unfortunately none of us were satisfied with the food. For example, the koobideh kebab had an overwhelmingly strong onion flavor, & it seemed like too much onion had been used in the meat mixture. The rice was slightly undercooked as well.
The kebab Torsh (Gilani style) had such a strong garlic taste that we could barely taste the meat itself. As for the marinated chicken, although it was tender, it honestly had no special flavor at all.
The most disappointing part was that we had a guest visiting from the United States, who was actually hosting the dinner that evening. He ordered the Barg kebab, but it was completely undercooked. We politely asked the staff to cook it properly. Instead of preparing a new one, they simply put the same kebab back on the grill for a little longer, which only made it tougher. Our guest was so disappointed that he did not even touch the kebab after that.
Overall, we were truly dissatisfied with the food & the experience, & unfortunately we will not be returning to this restaurant again.
