I visited Maman Sady yesterday & had a great experience. The food was delicious, fresh, & tasted just like authentic homemade Persian cooking. Every dish was full of flavor, & the quality of the ingredients really stood out.
The atmosphere was warm & welcoming, & the staff were friendly & attentive throughout our visit. If you're looking for authentic Persian food with generous portions & a homemade feel, I definitely recommend Maman Sady. I'll be coming back!
a friend brought us here while visiting montreal & we absolutely loved the food. the atmosphere is so beautiful, the servers are all wonderful & the food is inspired & well done. you can clearly taste the freshness & creativity in the recipes which is hard to find in other persian restaurants.
highly recommend the chengeh kebab, & if you know whats good for you, get some extra Tahdig on the side. the appetizer tray is a MUST, & i would recommend adding the pickled garlic if you like garlic. In the apps, their kashke bademjan, mirza ghasemi, & olives were AMAZING.
Also got to try the fesenjoon & their special ghormeh sabzi with lamb shank (wow!) & both were great, albeit slightly too oily for my taste. they all leaked through the containers & bags for our leftovers.
there's complimentary soup at the start which was a great surprise & tasted homemade. overall a great experience. i personally dont enjoy traditional persian cuisine much & dont really eat out often, but if i lived in montreal i would come back here for sure. maman sady is an inspired chef & thats what i like to see more of in persian restaurants.
Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, & attentive. The food was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully presented, & every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere was inviting, making it a perfect place to relax & enjoy a great meal. Excellent service, delicious food, & a wonderful overall experience. We'll definitely be coming back & highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience!
After having ordered many times on Uber Eats, stopped at Mama Sady for lunch with my man & it was such a great find! Cozy spot with a welcoming vibe, perfect for a relaxed midday break. The food was delicious - fresh, flavorful, & beautifully plated, one of the best Persian food I have had in Montreal & the decor was so simple & lovely. Service was quick & friendly, which made the lunch hour easy. We both left full & happy. Highly recommend Mama Sady if you're in Montreal & want a tasty lunch spot with real character.
Amazing experience at Mamansady,

Amazing experience!
The food tasting was excellent & every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. The staff were incredibly professional, courteous, & attentive throughout our visit. Their warm hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommended, & I look forward to coming back again!
On the positive side, the staff & atmosphere were amazing & welcoming. The service was also great. The soup served before the meal was really delicious. I also enjoyed the Ghormeh Sabzi stew.
The main reason for the 3-star rating for food is the Salad Shirazi, which had a strong moldy taste. The vegetables looked fine, but they tasted & smelled rotten. We all tried it & agreed that it had a terrible moldy smell & taste.
We also ordered the chenjeh. It had too many unusual spices & was overly salty. It was also very hard & dry, & it did not taste fresh at all. It almost felt as if the spices were being used to mask a lack of freshness.
On the tasting plate, the dishes tasted good, but some items (Kashk Bademjan & Mirza Ghasemi) were served cold rather than warm. This was not a major issue, but these dishes are often more enjoyable when served warm because of their oil content.
The koobideh was okay in terms of both taste & freshness. The saffron flavor seemed to be stronger in color than in actual taste.
Overall, I think this is a good restaurant with a great atmosphere & excellent staff, but they should pay more attention to the freshness of their ingredients, especially for dishes that may not be ordered as frequently, such as Salad Shirazi & chenjeh.
Five Stars is an Understatement! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely one of the best Persian restaurants in Montreal. The food tastes homemade, fresh, & full of flavor. The kebabs were perfectly cooked, the rice was fragrant, & the atmosphere felt warm & welcoming. Service was attentive without being intrusive, & the portions were generous. You can really feel the care that goes into every dish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine.
Five stars on food quality is not enough. Amazing fresh food, well seasoned, good portions, well cooked. I think of it & I can taste it again.
