food was soooo good loved the pancakes, somehow the strawberries were delicious even if they aren't in season. I'm quite picky with breakfast potatoes & they were delicious. salad too delicious basically everything was delicious. a bit pricier than some places but honestly worth it
J'adore venir bruncher chez Maman. C'est un endroit très sympa pour y manger matin & midi, il y a beaucoup de choix. Grosse préférence pour les pancakes, c'est toujours un 10/10 pour moi. Il est facile de réserver, il y a souvent de la place (ça évite les longues files d'attente). Les serveurs sont toujours tres gentils & accueillants. Je recommande !
Came for lunch on a Friday. It took about 20 minutes until someone came to take our order, then another 40 minutes to get the food. I ordered the'healthy' pancakes which were good but they still seem to be very carby as my blood sugar skyrocketed after (I'm diabetic). Not their fault per se but still wouldn't count them as healthy.
The space gets very noisy & the tables are extremely close together & the chairs uncomfortable. Nowhere to hang coats & bags so I had to hold my backpack the entire time as the floor was wet & no space to put it. Disappointing experience.
Second visit:
The carrot soup was excellent.
Maman's breakfast sandwich was good.
Papa's breakfast bowl was ok.
The food was definitely better than the first time!

It's odd to say, but I loved the plates-they were very Instagrammable. However, the croissants were not fresh, & the pancakes were average. While some enjoyed the salmon toast, it wasn't to my taste. The service & atmosphere were both okay. Despite some disappointments, I wouldn't mind giving it another try.

Went here for brunch with a friend. We waited 10 minutes to be seated despite multiple empty tables on the patio. Once we were seated it took 20-30 minutes for our server to come check in with us so we could order drinks & food. Drinks were good & came within 10-15 min. Food took over an hour to come - we ordered the papa breakfast & pancakes with a side of fried chicken. I cut into the chicken & it was visibly raw in the centre - the person who brought the food out agreed it was raw & asked us to check the other fried chicken & it was raw as well. They took them back to the kitchen. By the time they had come back with the chicken - over 20 minutes later we were mostly finished our meals. They also brought out the same chicken cut in half & it was obvious they just threw it back in the deep fryer - it was black in some areas but obviously not raw anymore. I asked for my meal to be discounted as I was not going to be eating the chicken & the person said it was not possible. I again asked our waitress when it was time for the bills to get a discounted meal & the ?manager came out. Said it was not possible the chicken was raw & when I explained the situation she called the owner & they just removed my latte from the bill. Overall it was a bad experience, poor customer service & mediocre food.
We were not planning on coming to Maman for breakfast, but extremely thankful we came across it. The french toast & pancakes were delectable. We also had their homemade lemonade & chai latte & both did not disappoint. The decor was beautiful & the staff was so incredibly friendly. They made our visit so special.
Their pancake is to die for! & it's a very cute place. It is very busy, & the waiters are nice, but don't come often enough to check on us & it takes a while before anyone takes your order. Every time I went, it's pretty loud to a point it's kind of hard to each each other across the table. Overall great food, but the service & atmosphere could be improved with more staff & better acoustics, plants or less tables to reduce noises around.
I think this wins for my new favourite brunch spot in Mtl! the vibes were so cute, the servers were so nice & helpful, & the FOOD! Omg the food was beyond! Don't skip the pastries, the almond croissant was sinfully good! The breakfast sandwich was so flavourful & the pancakes were like actual cake! 10/10!!!

Very nice breakfast place. Menu has many interesting selections & I would go back to continue to try different items. Our party of 4 chose the pancakes, the French toast, the parfait & the grandpa. Drip coffee was bitter; OJ was good. The pastries basket was also enjoyable. It is quite busy & this Saturday it was quite noisy. Atmosphere is quaint.
Mon no1 brunch a montreal. Je le revommande jy suis aller 4 fois. Allez y en semaine cest moins remplis. Tous les employés sont incroyables. Les pancakes proteines sont miammm
This spot is so much better than the 4.1 that seems low on the typical scale. We came to Montreal on a food tour & stopped for a brunch. The cottage cheese protein pancakes were so good & we loved the space. Very friendly staff & I very much recommend it.
Enjoyed the atmosphere, the pancakes are amazing, the service was excellent will come back for sure to taste the salty menu that looked delicious. Really recommend for a brunch no reservations needed but might be a good idea if your are more than 4
