MMama Khan is bringing the taste of Khyber Pakhtun Khwa to a plate near you. Originally born and raised in a small village in the mountainous regions of Peshawar where she honed her cooking skills.
Let your taste buds be enticed by authenticPeshawari cooking, you will be taken on a culinary journey with flavor's that will leave you coming back for more. Mama emphasizes that in order to taste good food you need the perfect service; and her staff isn't short of making you feel at home.
Mama Khan delivers authentic halal Pakistani cuisine with rich Peshawari flavors, generous portions and the option to adjust spice levels, with standout dishes such as butter chicken, chicken karahi, chapli kebab, biryani, and fresh naan that many reviews describe as delicious and comforting. The service is repeatedly described as friendly and attentive in a welcoming, family like atmosphere, and the restaurant's community efforts through free meals for those in need are highlighted as a meaningful part of the experience. While dining in is praised for flavor and value, some reviews flag inconsistent delivery experiences and occasional long waits or mildly spiced options for those seeking higher heat, yet overall the place is seen as a reliable, beloved spot for authentic desi fare in the city.
Mama Khan is a traditional Pakistani Cuisine Restaurant. It has both indoor & outdoor sitting places. In good weather you can enjoy street views while enjoying your food outside. The inside hall is reasonably spacious & can have a goop dinner of 30-40 peoples easily. The restaurant ambiance is quite basic in indoor sitting & should be improved. They are displaying a repeating recording of Pakistani style of cooking of their dishes. This is a good idea but the cooking video has been shot in not a very clean kitchen, this rather is very bad. In a civic society like Canadian society, please present a very clean kitchen video. This point is added for your improvement. However, their food is too good. We had Smoosa Chat, Pakoras & Peshawari Chicken Karahi with Karak Chai & Naans. Smoosa Chat was very good, Pakoras needs to be improved a bit but Peshawari Chicken Karahi was awesome. I am a visitor from Pakistan, we rarely find such a perfect Karahi in Pakistan. Stay prospering & keep it up.
We went out for dinner & had Chapli kebab & chicken karahi . I highly recommend this restaurant-the food was delicious, & the owner was very kind as we were leaving. We'll definitely be back again!
We visit Montreal once a year from Toronto & hit a hidden gem during our recent trip when we came across Mama Khan. We were pleased to know that the business is run by family members from Peshawar, Pakistan. We only ordered chapli kebobs & chicken karahi but wish we could try more. The food was just amazing. Nothing had the commercial label on it from the looks or taste of food. We enjoyed the naans as much as the actual meal. Raza brought our food fresh & in no time. Service was impeccable. We'll be sure to return at our next trip & will definitely recommend to others.

I highly recommend this restaurant to all those looking for authentic Pakistani flavours! Ordered the Chapli kabob, chicken Karahi, lamb Karahi, regular naan, tandoori Biryani, & mango Lassi. Everything was cooked perfect & amazing flavours! Special shoutout for the Chapli kabob & naan! The mango lassi was the perfect temperature & flavour!! I would only say the washroom & dining area be updated & expanded **Regular spice level was perfect for non Pakistani family!
Lovely atmosphere at this authentic peshawari cuisine restaurant, the food was so delicious we had chapli kebab & the flavour was so good it made me so nostalgic & took me back to Pakistan, we also had lamb karahi & chicken biryani & the lamb was so tender & Fresh it was finger licking! The mango lassi was absolutely delicious I honestly think they cut some fresh mangoes & made the lassi!! Absolutely loved the experience & will definitely be coming back for more
I recently went to Mama Khan & I gotta say, it did not disappoint. The food was amazing. I had the kebab & butter chicken. Kebab is super seasoned & flavourful. Nice neighborhood too, we sat on the patio.
Amazing Pakistani Cuisine in the heart of Montreal! Great flavours & the terrace outside was a delightful experience. We tried their butter chicken, garlic naan, chana samosa & chapli kebab(which the owner said they follow a family special recipe) . Amazing service, definitely worth a visit!

Had a great meal at Mama Khan in Montreal! As a vegetarian, I explored almost all their veggie options (next time, I'm hitting the daal for sure). It's the perfect place for anyone looking to dive into South Asian cuisine, offering a menu that simplifies the choice with popular dishes that are easy for beginners to navigate. My friends enjoyed their butter chicken & aloo paratha, while we all shared some delicious pakoras & pani puri, topped off with a refreshing mango lassi. The restaurant really stands out for its welcoming atmosphere & attentive service. Whether you're a first-timer to South Asian food or someone with a seasoned palate, Mama Khan makes sure everyone's preferences are met, even adjusting the spice levels upon request. Highly recommend Mama Khan for a genuinely good meal & a welcoming dining experience.
My friends & I mistakenly went into Mama Khan before opening hours & was treated very kindly by all the staff there. He gave recommendations & gave us the option to see the previous menu. The food was spectacular. As someone who was surrounded by South Asian cuisine growing up, the dishes we got were like a blast to the past. We started off with pani puri, then Peshawri Karahi Chicken, & another meat dish that I forgot the name of. Everything was served on hot plates with sauces on the side. I was very satisfied by the end of my meal & I was so happy to have found an authentic Pakistani restaurant.
Maybe this is more of a dine in restaurant. We got a take out on a particularly snowy day. Food was okay, expected more out of the chicken karahi. Naan didn't seem freshly made. Hope to try it again in a better season & eat at the restaurant.
I would not be too excited about the flavor of the food as it was below average but their intent was good. The daal was very bland & the butter chicken was also not actually butter it was probably made with some readymade masala. The chicken itself was very rubbery.
The only good food is Chapli kebab. Butter chicken have no taste, biryani is boiled rice with colour, chicken karahi is just flavour less cooked. Was very disappointed. Not even close to pishawari food.
