Very disappointing experience.
We waited almost one hour for our food, & when it finally arrived, it was cold.
Service was very poor. Several times we asked for soy sauce & other sauces, & they forgot every time. I had to stand up & go look for the waiters myself many times, which is unacceptable in a restaurant.
The place is very large but completely useless. It does not feel like a restaurant at all - it feels more like a party or event hall. Big for nothing.
The tables & chairs are cheap, & they try to hide this by covering them with white fabric, but it is still obvious.
Overall, bad service, bad organization, & no attention to customers.
Don't go to this restaurant.
Unclear service, the staff can barely speak English (no french)
The staff does rounds serving various dishes where 1 in 2 actually tasted good. They dont really explain how service works (& you cant understand the little they do explain). Its simple but you just have to figure it out: You take an item, they check a square on your paper, price goes up quickly.
When we tried to get the menu, the staff would just say to talk to the waiter, & when we talked the the waiter the guy was loud & disrespectful. Shooed us to the table where he just chucked the menu. Outlandish prices for the menu dishes, where most of it is the same as the little dishes they bring out.
So yeah I guess the main gimmick is the little dishes, but there could be some improvement on the service. Had better experiences at other places that offer the same thing. Quite disappointed
Would leave 0 stars but I wouldn't be able to leave a negative review if I did.
- got seated within 10min of arriving, & never got any informations regarding ordering system or menus. They just randomly asked if we wanted [dish] & when we ask what it is they just say yes yes & start trying to trick & confuse you into paying in every language but French or English .
We asked 5x for a menu & they all but helped us, trying to avoid or ignore us until we finally got the waiter's attention .
Terrible terrible terrible service & disrespectful to us . Terrible prices & food is reheated. I believe people only go here for appearances or social events … 😂
Disgusting juste repulsive food. Any believe people like this place
Reviewing Kam Fung Brossard is similar to going to the beach looking for waves to surf on. You never know what you're going to get.
Throughout my years of dining there, I've eaten the best & worst chinese food ever cooked there as well as experienced the best (waiters being very helpful to us) & worst service ever (chasing after waiters).
First of all, I highly recommend AVOIDING THIS PLACE ON THE WEEKEND. It struggles hard to cover the size of the dining room.
If there are any other tips the owners would like to share with me in order to have a consistently pleasant experience, I'm all ears.
What I like about this place is his Dim Dim time from 10 to 3pm, you don't need to wait to order just sit & they will come to your table to offer hot dishes. Also desserts are fabulous!
We arrived past 2pm on a Sunday, & it closes at 3pm their lunch service. There was no wait & the service was quick, to the point of almost rushing us to order everything & then told us to hurry to pay. There is a fine line between efficient & rapid service & rushing customers to pay because you need to go for your 3pm late lunch break for the waiters. Would have totally rated them for 1 star the service because they were rushing us if it weren't for a short lady with glasses who was very courteous & polite & politely apologized & asked us to pay & explained otherwise there would be nobody to do our bills at the front desk reception because even the front desk reception go for lunch at 3pm 😂😅. So since she explained to us (every other waiter just rushed us to pay without so much as a'please' or'thank you' or without even an explanation) so nicely & she was very apologetic & polite, we paid at 2:45pm at her request & writing there to highlight there are some staff with very good attitude here at this restaurant & want to mention she takes care of the customers. So next time you go to this restaurant, ask to get served by her. The tall guy with glasses, he was quite the opposite compared to her pleasant attitude. Make sure you don't sit in his section.
Oh & in this restaurant, not only can you wait for the carts to arrive to you to order from the cart the dim sum, you can also order from the staff directly if you know what you want & they will bring you the food straight from the kitchen :)
Frais & bon
