Review Summary

Maison Kam Fung is widely recognized as a popular destination for authentic Cantonese cuisine and classic dim sum served via traditional pushcarts, offering a nostalgic dining experience that feels like a bustling banquet hall. Many patrons praise the generous portions, fresh seafood, and the wide variety of flavorful dishes, making it a reliable spot for group gatherings and family meals. While the food consistently receives positive feedback, the overall service can be inconsistent, ranging from swift and professional to rushed or inattentive, especially during peak weekend hours. Visitors should be prepared for potential wait times and occasional language barriers, though many find the quality, value, and atmosphere make it a worthwhile experience despite the bustling environment.

Don't come, you won't find a parking, mediocre food & the worst Chinese food in Montreal. The service is bad too. Overpriced.

Jesus was delivering sushi supplies last year.
All is perfect!
I need the credit/tips to my bank account as return. It's a must-do task.

Me & my family (a total of four people) went for dinner during Father's day. We knew that it would be crazy busy during peak dining hours so we went early at 5pm. There was a moderate amount of people. The type of busy-ness that you would expect on a regular day. Yet, the service was excruciatingly slow. We had to wait for 40 minutes for our soup (the appetizer) to come out.

From my experience at chinese restaurants, all the dishes tend to come out relatively at the same time. However, at this place, they brought one dish around every 20 minutes. We were essentially forced to eat the whole dish before the next one came out or else it would get cold before the next one arrived. In total, it took nearly 2 hours before we received all our dishes... My mistake. Not all the dishes. We ended up having to cancel our last dish because they said it would take 30 minutes or more to make it.

Overall, the food was delicious except for the seafood soup which was not as up to par as other popular chinese restaurants in & around montreal. The service, however, has much to be desired.

If you wanna order from here, do takeout instead. You may have to wait for an hour but at least all your dishes will be ready upon pickup.

The dim sum tasted awful especially those steamed buns which tasted like just reheated food.

The service is also bad. All the waiters & waitresses look so miserable as if they hate working there. I found the service in Imperial Brossard is way more friendly than here.

Last but not least, the whole restaurant is very dirty & dated.

Never again!
