Review Summary

LOV is widely regarded as a standout plant-based spot in downtown Montreal, praised for its cozy, stylish ambiance and attentive service. The menu is celebrated for creative vegan and vegetarian dishes, colorful bowls, dumplings, arancini, and a varied drinks list that includes flavorful mocktails. Many reviewers highlight breakfast and brunch options like the energy bowl and tofu Benedict, though a few note that some dishes can be hit or miss and portions or prices can feel steep. The dining room is described as photo-friendly and upscale yet comfortable, making it a popular choice for dates and celebrations. Dietary accommodations, including gluten-free options, are frequently appreciated. There are some criticisms about slow service, inconsistent pacing, or dishes arriving tepid or under-seasoned, and a few mentions of value concerns or menu changes. Overall, LOV is seen as a strong pick for vegetarians, vegans, and curious diners seeking inventive plant-based cuisine, with notable flavors and presentation but with occasional service fluctuations.

Stopped in for brunch on Sunday, would definitely return. Couple smoothies, chick'n & waffle, & the mushroom asparagus toast. Everything was delicious, staff were very kind.

Belle expérience entre amis. La nourriture est bonne, & surprenante pour un non végétarien. En général je suis chiâleux mais cette fois, je vous encourage à l'essayer.

Really diverse menu. Perfect for a full meal or just drinks & appetizers. I saw people doing small events like birthday celebrations & it looked really nice. It is a very aesthetic place. Service was quick & I really enjoyed the food & drinks.

Stopped here for brunch, we ordered a maple latte, ginger lemonade, pancakes, chicken & waffles, & a side of buffalo brussel sprouts. The waffle/spouts were out of this world! Will definitely be back next time to try the dinner menu.

LOV has amazing plant-based dishes covering a wide variety of cuisines & has very unique culinary interpretations of animal-based foods. The service was excellent & the décor was simple but, elegant. Would highly recommend if you want meal that won't disappoint.

I was super excited for a fancy vegan/ veg restaurant, & Lov did not disappoint! Amazing atmosphere, great service, delicious food & great variety in their menu. Tables were available on a Friday night, but I'd recommend making a reservation for good seats. Both indoor & outdoor seating available. We tried the orange wine (worth it, no strong flavor), dumplings (amazing sauce- must try), kimchi fries (interestingly tasty), coconut curry (filling & flavourful). Only let down- parking. The streets are almost always full & the paid parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is unreasonably pricey.

Excellent restaurant. Mais vraiment dommage qu'il devienne progressivement végétarien il n'en avait pas besoin, les plats vegans sont deja top. Ça casse un peu le concept intitial

Amazing food & atmosphere, & incredibly service. A must stop for anyone looking for an amazing vegan dinner. Be sure to go with an appetite because the portions are very generous.

Warning that this place is no longer vegan: they've started serving eggs. I went a couple of months back & had the truffle burger. It wasn't good. It was also very expensive, especially for a burger. Overall, the menu is uninspired, so there are very few interesting things to choose from. When I go restaurants, I expect to eat something I couldn't easily cook at home, & something better than what I could do at home, otherwise what's the point? Unfortunately, LOV can't seem to provide either. I won't be back, especially now that they're serving eggs.

*recently added animal products to their menu 😞 I came to LOV for the first time about 5 years ago. I remember the first time I was so excited & amazed by their vegan menu. I've come back many times since but the last few visits I feel it just hasn't hit the spot. Everything is good, but nothing is amazing or super innovative. They've also recently added eggs & dairy milk to the menu, which is really sad to see. Not sure adding abused animals to your menu is the change for more business. Due to this I probably will not be returning.
