Disappointing experience despite good food
We were visiting Montreal from the US for three days & specifically shortlisted LOV to match our family's vegetarian diet. While the food itself was good, the rest of our experience was extremely disappointing & easily one of our worst in Canada.
The service from our hostess was unwelcoming from the start. We had made a reservation well in advance, yet we were seated right by the bathroom entrance-even though most of the restaurant's tables were empty.
Things only deteriorated from there:
* Careless service: Drinks were practically thrown onto our table, splashing liquids across the table surface & onto our clothes. The hostess didn't apologize, & we had to ask staff for help drying off the mess.
* Dismissive attitude: When we politely asked if she could take a quick family photo for us, her response was,'Only if you make it quick.'
* Lack of basic hospitality: No one checked in on us throughout our meal to ask how the food was or if we needed anything else.
Whether this treatment was tied to our race, country of origin, or simply sheer indifference, it left a very bad taste in our mouth. Given the empty seating & pre-booked reservation, there was no excuse for such poor hospitality. We won't be returning.

Being a vegan restaurant before, I was sad to learn they have moved to a vegetarian menu. Despite that, always a great experience eating at LOV & having a great dining out experience for vegans in Montréal! In future, I'd like for them to bring back some vegan options & specially a vegan pasta option.

I loved this place. After a day of exploring Montreal, this reenergized us. Great vegan/vegetarian restaurant with a comfortable but upscale ambience. Food was delicious & staff were very kind. A little pricey but great to support such a business. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Saw that restaurant was highly rated & decided to give it a try being a family of vegetarians. Every single item of food that we had was not only presented well but also very tasty & flavorful. The dishes we tried are Tofu Sticks, Butterbut Squash Ravioli, Roadted Cauliflower & the Coconut Curry.

Loved the atmosphere, the food, & the service. The food presentation was particularly impressive, especially in comparison with other vegetarian restaurants. The service was friendly & attantive.

It is so nice to have such an excellent vegetarian restaurant that feels both upscale, yet welcoming & friendly. We had the fettuccine & one of the burgers along with white wine. Everything was tasty, & it is one of those restaurants where the vegetarian food is better than the alternative.

Amazing spot for vegetarian fine food. As a vegetarian, I haven't eaten a carbonara pasta in a long time! & it was incredible 😍

Very good food! All the entrées were amazing & i took the fettucini which was excellent ! Margarita was amazing. Im not vegetarian or vegan & i loved it! Good place to gather especially if someone in a group has dietary restrictions ! They have gluten free options as well.
