Everything we ordered was absolutely top notch.
The dumplings were incredible, the risotto was perfectly done, & the chocolate cake/brownie was just amazing. The drinks LOV'ini & Tiki Mahana were easily some of the best cocktails I've ever had.
The ambience was romantic, & the service was just as amazing atttentive & welcoming throughout.
So happy to have discovered such a great vegan restaurant. Definitely a place worth visiting!
Amazing Vegetarian restaurant with great variety, taste & ambiance.
The staff was amazing too. The server who took care of our table was so sweet & accommodating. I was pregnant so she took extra care of our food according to my needs.
We had the ravioli, LOV burger & dumplings. Loved them all.
Amazing food, amazing staff & amazing place!!
My sister & I were on a vacation & were looking for a vegetarian place. So glad we found this place. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by our host. There were lots of options to choose from. I chose carbonara & my sister opted for a California bowl. We also ordered dumplings for starters. Everything tasted so good. I loved my food a lot, the best pasta I've ever had.
I know where to go next time I visit Montreal 😊.
From start to finish, a wonderful experience. Great selection of wines. The dumplings & risotto were delicious & warming. Great portion sizes. Waitress was very friendly & made for a wonderful service. One of the best espresso martinis I have had in my life - the cardamom was a lovely & unique touch & paired very well with their brownie. Will absolutely be returning.
We went to Lov for dinner on a Tuesday evening. The interior is open & spacious. The menu is simple. We ordered the arancini & the dumplings for appetizers. The arancini is a decent size & three balls come on one portion. The sauce was flavorful but the arancini themselves were quite dry. The dumplings come with six very small pieces. They are minimally stuffed. The sauce was good, but you couldn't taste much if the filling since it was so little. The filling when had by itself was very flavorful, they just need to add a lot more filling to justify calling these dumplings.
For our entrees we ordered the roasted cauliflower (from the appetizers) & the coco curry. The roasted cauliflower was cooked well, it was tender. It was also quite large, so a good item to share. The coco curry was very flavorful, perfect warming fall spices. The bowl is made with a mix of basmati rice & quinoa as the base & topped with chickpeas in a gravy, wilted kale, & cooked peppers & carrots. It's topped with whole cashews & slivered almonds. A very hearty & nourishing bowl.
Restaurant is very big & spacious. We walked in at 5:30 PM & had plenty of eating available. It was half full when we left at 7 PM.
The food was so delicious at Lov. & the service was excellent. We ordered the dumplings & calamari. The kids & my husband got the veggie burgers & fries & I ordered the'fish' tacos. The food was incredibly delicious & so filling. The service was incredible...they really took the time to explain the menu & provide us with vegan options. Would give 10 stars if I could. We will definitely be back as soon as we're in town! 100% recommend to everyone, vegan, vegetarian or not!
Thanks for enhancing my taste buds. Being a meat lover I tried a vegan classic cheese burger which tasted amazingly like og cheese burger. Hates off guys. At last I would like to give thanks to the server (forgot her name but she is tall & wear black specs) who gave good suggestions to try from the menu item & took care of each small detail of our requirements. Thank you so much. keep it up!!! Highly recommended for All Vegans. Good food & ambience. Must try dumplings, classic cheese burger, salmon tart.
Amazing food, great evening. The dumplings (starter) were so good, followed by a cheeze burger & phish tacos, completed by a lime cheezecake... even my carnivore husband was thrilled!
Ever need to book a restaurant for people with limited options due to their food allergies or restraints? This spot is perfect for EVERYONE. Whether they are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-intolerant, lactose intolerant.. you name it, they cater to it all! & it's not just for vegans or vegetarians - this is the perfect place to try plant-based alternatives that will make you forget you're not eating meat. The food was absolutely delicious! So fresh, with good portions. Their dumplings are "famous" for a reason - they were the ideal starter, along with their soup of the day which was gushed over by those who ordered it. (potato, corn & pepper) We all tried the burgers (Big LOV & Truffle) & were not disappointed. For a meat alternative patty, this is one of the tastier I've tried. LOV is a treasure! We need more places like this.
Amazing food, always fresh & innovating ! I don't drink, but they can easily turn most of their drinks into cocktails & they are delicious! Risotto & dumplings are amazing too!
This place is beautiful! So many little charming details. It's a vegan restaurant. We tried many of the items on the menu: the Brussels sprouts were great, the dumplings were also delicious. The s'nails (stuffed mushrooms) were good & a different offering. The burgers were good but they use the impossible patty, we were hoping for more of a house patty. We tried both the cheeseburger & the truffle burger, good overall. The'fish' tacos were also good, breaded tofu was the'fish'. Great spot for IG photos. But a bit pricey.
Excellent food . Service was bit slow but it was compensated by the quality of the food . Must try tacos , risotto & dumplings
We went here for dinner after reading amazing reviews about the gnocchi, kimchi fries & coconut curry, sadly, they had stopped serving gnocchi, but we tried their coconut curry was delicious. Kimchi fries were okayish, they lacked kimchi & a bit of dressing so I wouldn't recommend it as you won't be missing out on anything. Their Dumplings were tasty too, the dipping sauce which came with it was delicious & we used the same to finish the kimchi fries too hehe. The coconut curry was soooo comforting, we were visiting montreal for the first time & were roaming for entire day, after having this coconut curry it just felt like we ended our day having home cooked dish!! I would highly recommend it if you are craving for some comfort food. The drinks were also nice, we ordered the Botanist & Pink everything , I must say the Botanist was really really good. I would highly recommend it. The ambience of this place is really nice & peaceful. It won't seem like a very big restaurant from outside but once you enter you would be like this is huge!! Plus it's all white & nice. I would come back here to try their brunch menu & also try their other dishes in future. & would be happy to see if they serve their famous gnocchi again!!! Staff here is very friendly & nice!
I was super excited for a fancy vegan/ veg restaurant, & Lov did not disappoint! Amazing atmosphere, great service, delicious food & great variety in their menu. Tables were available on a Friday night, but I'd recommend making a reservation for good seats. Both indoor & outdoor seating available. We tried the orange wine (worth it, no strong flavor), dumplings (amazing sauce- must try), kimchi fries (interestingly tasty), coconut curry (filling & flavourful). Only let down- parking. The streets are almost always full & the paid parking lot adjacent to the restaurant is unreasonably pricey.
The espresso martini is phenomenal! Love that there is a vegetarian restaurant that has fun takes on meat classics (like a salmon tartare) but the kitchen was pretty slow on the day we visited. - Snails: never had meat snails before so it was interesting to taste the vegetarian ones. 3/5 - salmon tartare: the top part was really tasty & reminded me of the actual meat version, but the bottom portion is all guac. 4/5 - brussel sprouts: not spicy & burnt 2/5 - dumplings: great taste, might be a bit too fried 4/5 - kimchi fries: solid choice! 4/5
Went with a group of about 10 & were seated in the far back. As a bigger group we had to order off of a $45 or a $55 pre-fix menu with 2-3 choices, which was a bit of a bummer. Lovely atmosphere & decor & servers were friendly but it took 30 minutes for a server to come around to take our order once we all arrived, & then another 40 minutes until our appies. It was a full house, so I get that the servers would be somewhat busy but that's a bit much. The dumplings were tasty, as was the cheesecake & the lemonade. The pesto gnocchi, on the other hand, I found gummy & lacking in seasoning. Pan-frying the gnocchi would add texture. A bit of fresh ground pepper & a few cherry tomatoes would lighten up the dish.
The food was great, we came for dinner in the evening, we made a reservation. This was our first time trying orange wine & it didn't disappoint, it was flavourful & not too dry. For starters we had the dumplings, they were nice & cooked to have a good crunch when biting into them & the kimchi fries, the sesame dressing was amazing, we had to ask for more dressing as there wasn't enough on the fries. For mains we had the creamy gnocchi pesto & the mushroom risotto, both tasted amazing. Both were flavourful & it doesn't make you miss meat at all. Overall a good experience & would recommend others to try the restaurant.
Literally the best restaurant in MTL. I was hesitant at first because it's a vegan restaurant but omg I have never had food so tasty. The dumplings & the escargots are to die for. Thank you for the MTL experience, will be coming back again!
Great restaurant, excellent menus, vegan. I would've liked to see more zest in food, risotto mushroom & coconut curry & of course their dumplings. The only thing needs improvement is making the entrance accessible.
