Was afraid this wouldn’t live up to the hype but we were blown away! We sat at the back bar & enjoyed oysters, the rolls, a few vegetable dishes & steak frites. The wine was great & each dish was spot on, plus just a fun vibe!

What a spectacular experience! Service has been A+, the waitress took super good care of us. We had the steak & fish of the day, it was very delicious. Highly recommended.
FANTASTIC. If you’re in Montreal, do not miss this place! Try something new while you’re here because anything you order is going to be delicious. The menu is great, but wait for the specials.
Must try the foie gras breakfast sandwich! Perfect marriage of savory & sweet flavors - wish I can have it again. Had a great time as a solo diner at the bar. Excellent hospitality & food.
Like most restaurants in that area, the prices are way too expensive. They cater to a young clientele that have no cooking skills whatsover, that's why they eat out & live in Griffintown.
un peu déçue du service de certains serveurs. ils mériteraient d’être plus aimables. un busboy a fait tomber des assiettes & était particulièrement lent.
Our waiter Mark seems like he doesn’t want to be there & absolutely hates his job. The service could be way better, maybe hire more enthusiastic people?
The place is nice, but the food is really disappointing... or I didn't order the right dishes : I had (among other things) a "very French salad" (or something like that) I totally can do it at home, & not because I'm French, but because it was only cut vegetables in a bowl... come on! (The other dishes were just correct)
I had the opportunity to dine at this establishment recently, & while the ambiance & service were quite pleasant, I must admit that I was a tad disappointed with the lobster pasta I ordered. The dish had a few shortcomings, as the lobster seemed a bit overcooked & the overall flavor didn't quite meet my expectations felt very bland.
Moreover, I found the prices on the menu to be on the higher side, & when the bill arrived, I couldn't help but feel like I may have overpaid for the dining experience.
In conclusion, this restaurant has potential, but it might be worth reconsidering your choices if you're seeking a flawless lobster pasta dish & are mindful of your budget.

There are some hits & misses with our visit. First I am shocked at the rave review the lobster spaghetti is getting. It's the reason I ordered it. It's $35 more than any of the other entre but you are getting so little for that premium. You get a huge mound of spaghetti with one small claw, a knuckle & a half a tail. So $74 for this?!
The duck pie, streak frite & beef tartare were exceptional. They saved our visit & justified the cost.
The blueberry tart was forgettable.
Liverpool House overall met our expectations for a fine dining experience in a casual setting. We were the first seating & glad we came early. Halfway thru our dinner, the noise of the restaurant was extremely loud. I could hear conversations two tables over lol.
I don't think we would go back but we had a good time due to the great service we received. The staff is great.
Liverpool House, nestled in the heart of Montreal, provides an ambiance that is a delightful blend of casual & upscale. Its eclectic menu boasts of a variety of dishes that evoke a fusion of traditional & modern culinary artistry. The oysters & lobster spaghetti are, without a doubt, crowd favorites, a testament to the kitchen's prowess with seafood.
However, Liverpool House is not without its drawbacks. During my visit, the waiting time was noticeably longer than expected, even with a reservation in place. Additionally, while most dishes hit the mark, a few, like the roasted chicken, felt a tad underwhelming, especially given the establishment's reputation & price point.
The staff, though polite, seemed slightly overwhelmed, which affected the overall service speed & attentiveness. Perhaps it was just an off-night, given the high volume of customers.
All in all, Liverpool House offers a good but not impeccable dining experience. It shines in its seafood offerings & ambiance, but there's room for improvement in service & consistency.
Liverpool House, located on Notre Dame St in Griffontown, is one of the better known eating establishments in Montreal, being part of the Joe Beef group. The restaurant is deceivingly large, entering into a large bar & kitchen area, then passing into, antoher room, then onto two large back patios & a third interior room. The back patios are wonderful to enjoy the warm summer months, surrounded by an array of flora & fauna; while the interior is much darker & dimmer...so both tastes are covered.
The menu is tight with an emphasis on meats (chicken, duck, beef, etc..) & some fish dishes. Four our meal we ordered the Parker House Rolls (very good...but a bit on the salty side), Steak Frites (very good), Lamb Shoulder (a huge dish & excellent, including the bone marrow...perfectly done), Chicken Bercy (also very good), Pork Belly (good), & the Market Vegetables (also very good...mostly carrots). For dessert we shared the multi-layer Marjolaine cake slice (also good).
Service was very friendly & informative although I did find it a bit tempered...however our section was full & there was a lot going on. Overall a very good food experience. Enjoy!
