Nice space & fun music create good ambience. Menu was not the most creative but quality food cooked skillfully, & delicious. On that score, easy to see why the place has such a strong following. But, service was lumpy & off-putting. Some really nice staff, but the assigned server was slow & rude. Noone comes to this (or any) restaurant to be aggressively mansplained about wine pairings. Might hesitate to go back despite a good dinner.
Lives up to the hype! Came here for dinner on August 14th to celebrate a friend's birthday & was pleasantly surprised by how well balanced all the dishes were. I was hesitant on the lobster spaghetti but it ended up being my favorite!
What actually blew me away was the amazing service we were provided by our server. He was so friendly, chatted with us even though it was a busy night & really helped us navigate the menu to choose dishes we would like. 10/10 would recommend for celebrating an occasion!
Kind of everything you need & want from a restaurant. Our server was outstanding, very accommodating. Portions were great & the flavors were memorable. Would highly recommend.

Incredible, no notes. Sat at the bar - got there at 5 with no reservation. Got the beef fillet & it was delicious with the onion. Croquettes same thing. Fries were amazing I was just too full. Staff was sooo nice.
Beautiful space, nice staff except our server which I'll get to. The foie gras is delicious, but the lobster spaghetti is such a let down, lobster is one of the worst I've ever had, hard to chew, seems overcooked.
Our server was kinda rude. Having an attitude of educating us what's French cuisine when I asked about chili flakes… he told me they don't carry chili flakes & Parmesan when I didn't even ask about Parmesan. & had a speech about we are in a French bistro, we won't get that, all just unnecessary. Just say you don't have it, that's it. It's also funny bc I've dined in many French restaurant in France, never get that… The micro aggression is there & I'm not here for it.
Toujours une excellente expérience chez Joe Beef. Le service est attentif dès l'arrivée, rapide & chaleureux. La nourriture est excellente à chacune de nos visites & la qualité est toujours au rendez-vous.
Cette fois-ci, nous avons particulièrement apprécié le tartare de boeuf, la salade ainsi que les pâtes au homard, qui étaient vraiment excellents. Pour la qualité de la nourriture & l'expérience offerte, nous trouvons que le rapport qualité-prix est très bon.
Un merci tout particulier à notre serveur, Félix, pour son excellent service & son attention tout au long du repas. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir!
This place was highly recommended & went with my foodie friend who had eaten there a few years ago. Found it highly overrated. The food was'fine', but that was not what one expects from a restaurant with this reputation & price point.
Everything was ok, just no punch, flavors really weren't anything special. The duck with mustard sauce was again just fine, the zucchini was really just meh. Friend had the guinea hen was just disappointing. Sad when the best part of the meal was the cocktail & the French fries. Should really be 2.5 stars.
