'A Wonderful Surprise!'
This place truly made my day! It was the perfect, much-needed escape on a chilly day. The service was so attentive & caring! The food, especially the scallops, was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this cozy gem!
Thank you for making my visit to Montreal feel so special!
Everything was great here! I had the pork cheek & it was delicious! We had a large crew & our server Justin was the best we had while we were in Montreal! He & the other staff were very accommodating & made this an unforgettable place for us! I would highly recommend going here!
Absolutely loved our dinner at Pyrénées in Old Montreal! The atmosphere is charming & cozy, perfectly matching the historic vibe of the area. I was especially impressed with the strawberry & goat cheese salad-so fresh & full of flavor. The scallops were perfectly cooked & simply delicious. Service was outstanding-friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Spanish dining experience in the heart of the old town!
Absolutely delicious food & exceptional service. The server had excellent recommendations for wine. Very highly recommended.
Wonderful service, fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere. We just walked it & were able to get a table. It was wonderful. Would highly recommend
We had dinner here since it was walkable from our hotel. The food & service were both great. We started with the crusted goat cheese & strawberry salad which was very good & unique! For dinner we got the paella & it was very good/fresh/flavorful. Highly recommend!
A Culinary Symphony at "Pyrenees market cuisine" Nestled in the heart of old Montreal, Pyrenees beckons with promises of culinary bliss & an ambiance that dances between modern chic & timeless elegance. Upon stepping inside, one is enveloped in an atmosphere that whispers of refinement & invites you to savor every moment. The star of the show? The chef's masterpiece: the "Cassoulet à la Toulousaine, canard confit, saucisse, agneau & jarret de porc". From the first bite, it's evident that each element of this dish has been meticulously crafted to perfection. The lamb, delicately seared to golden perfection, boast a tender texture that practically melts in your mouth, while the sausage provides a decadent contrast of earthy flavors that dance harmoniously on the palate. But it's not just the food that delights the senses; it's the entire experience. The attentive waitstaff move with grace, ensuring that every need is met without intruding on the diners' enjoyment. The soft lighting & tasteful decor create an ambiance that is both intimate & inviting, making it the perfect setting for an unforgettable dining experience. In summary, Pyrenees market cuisine is a culinary oasis where every dish is a work of art & every moment is savored. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply seeking an escape from the mundane, this establishment promises a symphony of flavors that will leave you craving an encore. My wife & I are newcomers to this place, but we're pleasantly surprised when we meet another couple who highly recommended it. Coincidentally, they've visited multiple times with different groups, & the place has never failed to impress.
What a wonderful restaurant this is. We had the pleasure of trying all kind of delicious food, from seafood to meats, everything was so good. & our server Kevin was the cherry on the Sunday. Highly recommend
Our food was excellent! We ordered the duck leg & calf's kidneys & both were great! Highly recommended 👍
Many Spanish restaurants in Montreal try to get the paella right but miss in one way or another. I lived in Spain & have traveled the country. I can tell you with great certainty Pyrénées got it right! Loved my dish & the service was excellent! Highly recommend.
I visited Old Montreal for (5) five days & Les Pyrenees was by far the absolute "best restaurant", of (6) six that I visited while on vacation! They were very friendly & courteous. I had the privilege of having the owners son wait on our table. He was very friendly & a pleasure to converse with, & made us feel like we were at home. They served absolutely the best Paella I have ever eaten, & the seafood was fresh with the rice & Chorizo seasoned like real authentic Spanish & French style cooking is known for. To cap off my meal, I had Crème Bruellee for dessert which was unbelievably awesome! I highly recommend this restaurant! You will not be disappointed!
