Seating outside was reasonable but lots of cars & hence exhaust. Service was prompt but menu was quite limited. Food quality was average at best. Sea Breem was very disappointing, & such a small modest meal. I had the Spanish sea food dish which was, again lacking depth & any distinct flavour. This is somewhat of a tourist, made to not look like one. 2 modest meals & one beer with tip was $123. I don't not recommend, however nothing was exemplary.
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance. We were in the area & this place caught our eye. Everything was delicious! We ordered the bocadillo (sandwich), mimosas, Maria's Spanish potato tortilla (Manchego & chorizo), & cod croquettes. Laura was our server & the service was incredible!
Llegamos a este restaurante por casualidad. Estabamos en el sector y este restaurante nos llamó la atención. Todo delicioso!! Pedimos El bocadillo (sandwich) , mimosas, Maria's Spanish potato Tortilla( Manchego & Chorizo), Cod croquetas. Laura fué nuestra mesera y la atención incredible!
Excellent food & service. Spanish tortilla is not really Spanish tortilla, but it great. Salads are great. Paella was excellent. Terrific service.
There is nothing wrong with the restaurant neither with the food. The food is really good, but you can not say that is an spanish restaurant just because you think, you must have an idea about Spanish food.
There wasn't the most iconic dish (Tortilla de patata) & they oferta small potatoes cubes cover with mayo-sriracha as Patatas Bravas...
So sad.
Delicious spot of French & Spanish fusion- we absolutely loved this restaurant. We had a variety of options from menu including the seafood chorizo Paella, duck salad, octopus, & stew. Waiter was extremely knowledgeable & friendly, & helped us choose a wonderful wine to accompany our dinner. Will come again!
Excellent Spanish inspired reataurant in Old Montreal. Attentive service. Delisciius onion soup - nice body witn crunchy crouton. Paella was amazong. Soft rice, crunchy skibk on the chicken.
Food is Spanish European. Flavour was good & portions were a good size. Drinks were tasty. Patio was dog friendly but a bit crowded.
What a gem. Hard to find a good Spanish restaurant in Montreal but this has passed my expectations. Plates are well balanced, properly cooked, & feature some great Catalunya choices. Very friendly staff, not a long wait for dishes. It was a wonderful birthday dinner!
Absolutely loved our dinner at Pyrénées in Old Montreal! The atmosphere is charming & cozy, perfectly matching the historic vibe of the area. I was especially impressed with the strawberry & goat cheese salad-so fresh & full of flavor. The scallops were perfectly cooked & simply delicious. Service was outstanding-friendly, attentive, & made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great Spanish dining experience in the heart of the old town!
First, I thought this was a Spanish restaurant & asked for croquetas then I was told they didn't have them.
I said, but this is a Spanish restaurant, I was then told, no this is a restaurant from Catalu?a, hmm well in the region of Catalu?a there are no tapas but pinchos, but no croquetas uhm weird.
Anyway, I ordered an arroz catalan, yes a starter but ordered a larger plate.
When it arrived mine & my wife's were not warmed enough.
I asked to be warmed up. My wife preferred not.
When it was brought back, then it was much better.
Also, it was advertised that they sell creme Brule, if the place sells plates from Catalu?a then, they should have had crema catalana.
I also asked if they had tinto de Verano, a popular Spanish drink, & then was pointed to the sangria menu & not what I had asked.
Service ok but not satisfied.
