Leméac café bistrot de Outremont est une fort belle brasserie française, aux prix plus qu'acceptables. Le soir, le menu compte environ 13 entrées, et une douzaine de plats principaux: le cabillaud, le thon et risotto, le pot-au-feu de saumon, le foie de veau, le carré d'agneau, la bavette, Short rib de boeuf servi avec un ragout d'orge perlé, les tartares de boeuf ou de saumon, etc... La cave de vins de Leméac compte plus de 225 entrées rouge et blanc!
Le week-end, on s'y retrouve pour le brunch en famille ou entre amis.

I've been to Lemeac everytime I've come to Montreal. We tried their Fish Soup, minestrone, Grilled calamari, mushroom ravioli, beef tartare, duck confit, mushroom risotto, profiteroles & banana sticky toffee pudding. Top dishes were the ravioli, beef tartare & duck confit. We reserved on the same day but could only get a 9.30pm reservation. Would definitely recommend booking earlier. Service was good & ambiance is always pleasant. Would recommend if you're looking for a casual French restaurant. 💯Voir plus

Tout était délicieux! Onctueuse vichyssoise, omelette bio aux champignons parfaitement baveuse & frites chaudes! & le fameux pain perdu partagé avec mes deux amies! Le tout accompagné d'un vin blanc italien bien frais! Service impeccable. Ce fut un plaisir de revisiter ce resto que je fréquentais quand j'habitais Outremont!Voir plus

Wine list ... Wines are very expensive versus the quality & the vintage of the wines that they offer.
Service ,.. friendly but could improve in efficiency. They assign a waiter for your table instead of all waiters serving all tables
Atmosphère... Noisy, no table cloth setting. Cutlery is of average quantity. Wine glasses are acceptable.

Lovely lunch at Leméac! The classic salad was crisp & refreshing, the asparagus perfectly cooked, & the salmon tartare was fresh & delicious. Une entrée d'asperges succulentes, des pétoncles à faire rouler les yeux de bonheur, sur un lit d'écrasé de rattes au caviar (purée de pommes de terre digne de l'Olympe), le tout arrosé d'un verre de Sancerre des monts damnés digne de Bacchus. This was a highly recommended French restaurant in Montreal. Weekends are always booked, & reservations are needed.
The ambiance was nice, perfect for a dim romantic dinner. Although, don't expect it to be a quiet place as it's buzzing with energy & conversations.
We had the foie gras, beef tartare, crunchy goat cheese, & the moulle fritte. I liked everything except for the mussels. I thought the broth missed the mark, & some of the mussels were slightly undercooked since it was still translucent. I didn't feel safe eating it all.
Service was also pretty slow. Took 30 minutes for us to get the main course. We didn't get any drinks, but they seem fancy enough. Overall, for 4 dishes, we paid CAD150.Voir plus

Excellent dining experience. Wonderful service. The food is wonderful & executed perfectly. We had the tartare de beouf, hareng fumé, coquilles saint-jacques & bavette de beouf. Everything cooked & seasoned perfectly. Nice wine list. Want to try their French toast dessert next time. Will be back!Voir plus
