Don't miss this while in Montreal. We had a wonderful dining experience tonight. The wines & meal & desserts did not disappoint. The experience was made all the better by the warm hospitality demonstrated by the staff, especially our server, Giaume. The menu was elevated, as you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant, but it wasn't pretentious. The flavors were familiar, but better. The experience was so positive that we found ourselves discussing whether we wanted to cancel reservations for tomorrow's restaurant choice & return here for another round.

What better way to spend a beautiful day in Montreal than with a spectacular lunch at Lemeac? My wife & I had reservations for lunch & were seated in a cozy area on their patio. The place was bustling, but it really had an intimate feel. Right on the street. The menu was French, but with a little bit of a twist. The escargot, for example, was in a rich, light green sauce that was just the best way to serve them. No snail shells flying out of those tools they give you. Just great escargot, floating in this wonderful sauce. Our entrees were perfect, wine & beer cold & dessert was special. Their location is great as well & talking a walk afterward will help burn the calories!

Recommended by a native, Michelin rated & just fabulous! We were fortunate to enjoy summer weather & hence, dined on the terasse.
Best Duck Confit I've ever had. Extensive wine list & happy-to-serve wait staff.

Good restaurant , slightly average price , great atmosphere but service not great how does a wine 🍷 cup get you 1/4 of a cup that's nonsense

Lemeac is one of those places that makes you wish you had a bigger stomach.

We came on a Sunday, recommended for brunch - but after looking over the lunch menu, we made the switch. No regrets.

We started with the escargot & a half portion of the mushroom ravioli. The escargot isn't served traditionally, & honestly that works in its favour. Mushrooms, pasta, & tomatoes in a basil foam - deeply flavourful & completely out of this world. The mushroom ravioli arrived in a rich demi-glace with pine nuts. Bold, indulgent, the kind of starter that already makes the meal.

For mains, the confit duck leg was cooked to perfection. Served with potatoes & salad - but it's that skin that stays with you. Cracked perfectly. The kind of detail that separates a good kitchen from a great one.

The mussels & fries were equally exceptional. A generous bowl with white wine, tomatoes, dill, & parsley. The mussels were tender - not the least bit rubbery, which is rarer than it should be. The fries held their own alongside them.

We didn't make it to dessert. We couldn't finish our mains. That's not a complaint - that's a reason to come back. & we will. Dinner next time.

A must-try in Montréal.

It's a solid brasserie that live up to it's reputation. I think it's a bit on the expensive side but the menu is solid & the staff was friendly.

It was a bit noisier than I expected but it could have been just the specific groups of people around us. We happen to be next to what I would call a loud'gros colon' who would have been happier at St-Hubert. Those things you can't control but the tight setup of some tables make it a roll of the dice I guess.

We went as a couple but it would be fun for a double date or a small group.

The appetizer are a bit more expensive than I'm used to but they are also decent size, so it even out. We are not big eater, so we felt like we could have got away we two appetizer each, or just a shared appetizer & a main dish each.

Ended up at around 300$ for two appetizer, two main, a shared dessert & a bottle of wine.

I really liked it from the time I set foot in! I got my perfect table & service was prompt & professional. I was taking myself out for lunch. Was going to go across the street when I spotted THE table I wanted on the patio. Nice to see it is a Michelin recommended so I was prepared for the worst as far as money goes. I went with'la carte du jour' & had a sudden rage for moules frites à la Leméac! Simon my waiter was attractive, oups I meant attentive, offered me a choice of water & asked if I wanted some bread. Let's talk about it, it was very well cooked & fresh, but was at room temperature, in my opinion it should of come at least a bit warm...Then the rest followed, a girl arrived with a ton of Moules, tasty, big & the portion was almost too big but I hate everything, I did not hear a word of what she told me as the room was full & loud. I washed it down with a second glass of wine. Fries where perfection so as the home made mayonnaise. The wine selection was overwhelming. Pages & pages of for all taste & purses. The immense wine by the glass selection is impressive as well. So I had a nice chilled Sauvignon Blanc DesCombes plus a second one! It is a definitely a goer. At 64$ for a large Moule Frites & 2 glasses of Sauvignon, it's a steal. À bientôt!

We drove from Toronto & had lunch at this restaurant-it was an amazing experience. We ordered a bottle of Rayas white, which happened to be the last one they had, & it was absolutely unbelievable.

The food was delicious, & their wine selection is outstanding. It's definitely a place worth visiting again.

A lively little French bistro with a fast pace & no wasted time. You feel it right away - energetic, efficient, a place that knows exactly what it is.

The tartare was the standout. Fresh, clean, perfectly balanced - not overworked, not drowning in sauce. Just simple, sharp execution. & the wine? The bomb - it elevated the whole experience.

Service moves quickly, which fits the vibe. Not a place to linger, but perfect when you want a great meal done right.

Verdict: go for the tartare & the wine - both deliver.
