Wow!! I loved this place. The food & service were amazing. We shared a few appetizers, the main course, dessert & wine were delicious. It has a great vibe. I highly recommend!! As an out of town guest I'm glad we had the experience to dine here.

Positives:
Strong & authentic cocktails
The appetizers( grilled octopus & lobster) were nice but main course was bland & just ok.

Negatives:
We waited 25min just to order & another hour to receive our order. It seemed like there was a problem in the kitchen as no table around us received their order. Despite we mentioned, the delay was not acknowledged & there was no apology given.
The worst part was the noise. We were not even able to hear ourselves.
Overall not pleasant experience & I don't recommend this restaurant.

Arguably the best meal I've had in Montreal as a seasonal resident. Ended on an awkward note because the service was so slow that we ultimately didn't get dessert, but everything to that point was immaculately detail-oriented, prepared with care & bursting with flavor. Short rib was killer. Branzino was fully de-boned & topped w amazing morel mushrooms. Zucchini flowers stuffed with cod as the appetizer was elite. This place has a Michelin star coming in the future. Interior is industrial+minimalistic with cool art.

Quality of the dish was amazing. We love the presentation. There were four of us for a business meal. We ordered most of the menus & few season items pairing with wine for white & red were both amazing. Definitely recommend visiting here again. One thing we want to try would be the main menus as we shared the Bronzino & the steak & she appetizers. Desserts were very nice as well. recommend booking on advance

Very good & in a good location in Montreal. Special appetizer asparagus was outstanding - as was the burrata beef tartare appetizer. Mains Risotto & Venison were good too but the appetizers really shined.

It looks very unassuming from the outside … but trust me … once you make your way inside , the modern industrial ambiance is quite welcoming. The service was fantastic. Our server recommended several options of wine to pair with our dishes. Each dish had its unique flavour pairings. The portions were somewhat small for the appetizers, but the taste made up for it. Lovely experience.

An Italian meal that wasn't spectacular but was delicious. However, dessert was a huge disappointment. My sister & I chose the following dishes: - Parfait au Foie Gras (appetizer) ~ $32 - Octopus (appetizer) ~ $26 - Lobster Risotto (main course) ~ $53 - Magret de Canard (main course) ~ $46 - Tiramisu (dessert) ~ $18 - Strawberry Rhubarbe (dessert) ~ $18 Talking about the food, I especially like the foie gras with the combination of cherries that makes the dish very fresh, but still retains the original flavor of the foie gras with a light, fatty elegance & a smooth texture. However, the Lobster Risotto, although the dish that my sister & I were looking forward to, was a bit bland, the flavor was normal & nothing special. Dessert was a real disappointment. This is the worst tiramisu I have ever eaten, whether it is a mid-range restaurant, dessert shops or Michelin restaurants, all have desserts that are superior to this one. My sister & I were having a very comfortable & enjoyable dinner, but the dessert experience made the meal go down a notch. In terms of space, the restaurant will be a bit difficult to find with a rather dark space. The price does not include 15% VAT & 25% tip. The total bill was nearly $300 for 2 people, not too expensive but still not worthy of the quality that my sister & I expected.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience accentuated by high-quality dishes & attentive service. For appetizers, we had the special wild mushroom toast, which was simply divine, & the octopus dish which was quite solid. Main course we shared a branzino dish where for me the star of the dish was actually the vegetable medley. Our daughter chose the duck & it was absolutely lovely. Drinks were well made & the tiramisu dessert with an espresso shot on top was mind blowing. Highly recommend this bit out of the way restaurant

Le Serpent in Montreal presents a pleasant dining space, yet the ambiance falls short of expectations. The cocktail offerings are adequate but not standout. Culinary highlights include a well-prepared octopus appetizer & a decent Angus AAA steak, though the steak's presentation & value might disappoint, particularly with the sauce not served separately. Overall, while the food is good, it may not fully justify the price, especially for the steak.
