Le Petit Dep comes across as a cozy, eclectic cafe and shop with a homey vibe that many find welcoming, offering a wide selection of high quality coffee, pastries and vegan options, plus charming local gifts. Reviewers praise friendly staff, fast service, and tasty croissants and cappuccinos, while some note the space is small or cluttered and that laptops are discouraged or not allowed, which can be a plus for some but frustrating for those hoping to work. Decor ranges from homely and quirky to busy, with some mentioning a charming kitsch atmosphere and others calling it overstuffed, but the overall vibe remains a highlight. Prices are sometimes described as a little steep for some items, yet many return weekend after weekend for beverages and treats, including chocolate and specialty drinks like matcha and chai. In sum, Le Petit Dep is a go to for a cozy casual visit with good coffee and pastry options, especially for locals and shoppers seeking a bright, unique vibe, while acknowledging a few drawbacks around space, interior design and the no laptops policy.
Stopped in here to try their vegan cookies & get myself a coffee. As far as coffee shop designs go, there's nothing really new here but was pleased to see vegan options.
I removed a star because the Chai we ordered was disgusting, it tasted like toilet water, we just spit it out & dumped it, too bad, however the 4 chocolate bars I bought that cost me 80$, yes, it's 20$ per chocolate bar, they are worth the price, I've tasted many chocolates from all over the world, I have to say these are incredible, it is a treat, I would never pay 20$ but it's for my husband birthday, he's a chocolate freak & of course I tasted them as well & OMG, delicious, they don't allow laptops, so you can't sit there plugged in all day, very nice atmosphere in the heart of the old port, craft beer & other artisinal products including soaps & toys, very cute shop.
I grabbed a sweet scone there & loved the atmosphere. I like how it's a shop & café in one, but in a good way. The scone was very good & the person at the cashier seemed nice. Definitely worth a visit!
This was a very popular spot. The exterior of the shop brought the instagramers to capture the photo. The interior is warm & eclectic. What a lovely place to sip on a delicious coffee or tea & watch the happenings on the street through the window. The service was very friendly & efficient. We enjoyed our coffees here, & we would love to come back sometime.
This coffee shop is just next to the Basilique Notre-Dame, it doesn't have too many tables, but I'd like to say it's quite cozy & exquisite. For visitors, it's better to take some photos from outside, & take a look at your photos you'll have an illusion that you are in Paris. More than that, this coffee shop provides excellent Americano; as a result, I bought 2 bags of coffee beans as souvenirs for myself. Have so many options for dessert, & wine, sandwiches, even stuff animals. Staffs are friendly as well.

It's a lovely cafe shop & the food was delicious & good price. It's a great place to meet people & talk with friends. I was so enjoying the the time in the cafeteria with food & all of the friends every time.
Was drawn in by the beautiful exterior! Bought some maple syrup to take home & had a refreshing lemonade! Surprised that it wasn't just a cafe, but a great little shop with snacks, refreshments & souvenirs.
Beautiful little spot in Montreal, we stopped in as the shop front exterior was so cute. Inside is crowded, but nicely decorated & creates a home feel. The staff were pleasant, a very nice gentleman was working the cash. They had a variety of baked goods, prepared meals, & espresso beverages. Prices were astronomical for the value, so keep this in mind when visiting. Seems like a tourist spot more than a local gem.
