La nourriture laissait à désirer pour le prix & la taille des portions. La serveuse, Gabrielle, a fait du mieux qu'elle pouvait pour nous servir, mais les 3* sont malgré elle. Je bye retournerai pas.
Allez à côté au Pub Jelly, moins cher pour pratiquement la même affaire.View more

This was a real disappointment. We were part of a group of 20, two tables of ten. The menu was pre-arranged by the host, & the price was pre-set at $100 p.p. + tax & service, plus drinks. Of course the service was 18%, which was fine. & when we got there we were told we could each pay our own way.
The biggest disappointment was the small portions of food for the price. It's meant to be a sharing menu concept. But the portions just didn't satisfy. For instance, for the main course, we were given one small plate of carrots & one small plate of frites for 4 people. I regret not taking photos because the portions were laughable. Only when I questioned did they bring out more! This was consistent for all 4 courses. It was as is the kitchen had miscalculated how many dishes to send out.
The service started out well, attentive. But as soon as the first course came out, we felt rushed. One server who was bringing out the food was calling out the names of the dishes so quickly that we couldn't understand them. We felt rushed to finish our dishes, as they were clearing even before some were empty! Once, out of principle, I told the waiter to leave the dish with the two asparagus pieces.
But when dessert should have been served, we waited 40 minutes!
The food was good, & nicely presented, though the beef dish had more fat & grizzle than it should have for this type of establishment.
All in all, a very big & expensive disappointment.View more

Très déçue par notre expérience. Sur les 4 plats commandés, un était bon. Les pétoncles ne goûtaient rien, la burrata était tout aussi fade & la pieuvre grillée était dure. Le dessert smores était tellement sucré qu'une bouchée était suffisante…pour élever le niveau de saveurs & de raffinement, le chef devrait aller s'inspirer au Monarque ou au bar St-Denis par exemple … c'est trop cher pour le niveau de cuisine servi. De plus ils de raient rénover les toilettes pour femmes. Une est brisée & l'autre la porte ne se barre pas ….. très ordinaireView more
Buzzy place with a mixed crowd, all having fun, good food & efficient & very friendly service. Special mention goes to rotelle with oxtail & wild mushroom ragout & bone marrow mixed in at the table. Amazing!View more

Outstanding, very creative, scrumptious, diverse menu. We enjoyed the oysters, tuna crudo, sea bream sashimi & a shrimp dish with strawberries (best cold shrimp dish we've ever had). Avocado carpaccio & a Duck coopa that were both mouthwatering!!! Filet mignon, New York Cut, perfectly prepared with French fries……delectable! Every dish was truly exceptional, a work of art. As exquisite visually as each was delectable!
Service is always amazing, this time was no exception, IMPECCABLE. Camille & her team were outstanding. Very kind, Courteous, Knowledgeable, never intrusive, very attentive. Perfectly timed courses presented by Lee (& others) all with wonderful descriptions of each dish. Distinctive bar menu & a flair for creating special cocktails! Stunning, trendy establishment, very comfortable seating, lovely ambient music, excellent location in Old Montreal.

Had a reservation at the sister restaurant PubJelly for our visit to Montreal, but due to a private event they contacted us in advance to move reservation to Jellyfish, which we agreed to. Sooooooooo happy that we did; great wine selection, beautiful cocktails, local tasty beers started the evening on a great note. The staff was knowledgeable & friendly - the recommendation of the avocado carpaccio introduced me to one of my favourite all time dishes. HIGHLY recommend. The other appetizers were amazing as well & the rest of the meal also did not disappoint. All in all, Jellyfish delivered an amazingly memorable evening with family & friends. I look forward to going back next time we are in Montreal.View more

As soon as I arrived, I had a strong feeling that I would receive excellent service. I was captivated by the high ceilings & lovely decor. The staff was attentive, consistently clearing away finished plates & keeping our table tidy. The food was superb. The tuna crudo had a delightful crunch & the perfect amount of acidity. At first, I found the fried octopus to be a bit bland, but once I tried it with the sauces, I was pleasantly surprised by the flavors. The hanger steak was really well-marinated. The meal finished on a high note with an amazing olive cake . I cannot emphasize enough how much I appreciated the quality of the service. Great staff!View more

Pour la Saint-Valentin, mon épouse & moi avons eu l'occasion de souper au Jellyfish, & honnêtement, c'était une expérience incroyable. Sur les bons conseils de notre serveuse, qui était super accueillante, nous avons décidé de prendre cinq plats à partager.
Le tuna crudo & l'avocado carpaccio étaient excellents, avec un beau mélange de textures. Le plat de rotelle était aussi très bon, réconfortant à souhait. Mais ce qui a vraiment marqué notre soirée, c'était le carré d'agneau & le filet mignon, cuits à la perfection.
J'aurais aimé me souvenir du nom de notre serveuse, car elle nous a très bien guidés pour le menu & les breuvages.
Bref, Jellyfish est définitivement un incontournable!View more
