Located on Duluth Street in Plateau Mont Royal, Le Jardin De Panos restaurant shines with popularity as one of the best Greek restaurants in Montreal. Le Jardin de Panos offers a simple, limited menu, you'll find lamb chops, brochettes, skewers, seafood, fried calamari and moussaka to name a few. Most dishes served with large salads and Greek lemon roasted potatoes. Come and enjoy Le Jardin De Panos' beautiful terrace and bring your own wine as they do not have a liquor license.
Le Jardin De Panos is widely regarded as a classic Montreal Greek restaurant with generous portions, solid value, and a warm, convivial atmosphere. Dishes such as souvlaki, moussaka, calamari and pikilia regularly receive praise for flavor and portion size, and the bring-your-own-wine option is consistently noted as a major plus along with a pleasant garden or heated terrace setting. The ambiance is described as lively and family friendly, though it can be very noisy when busy. Service is a mixed bag: many visits experience attentive, friendly staff and smooth dining, while others note slow or uneven service and occasional mis-timed courses. Overall, the restaurant is seen as a reliable go-to for celebrations, casual dinners with friends or family, and long-time visits, with many guests highlighting the tradition and consistent quality over the years. A few reviews point to room for improvement in consistency, cooking temperatures, and occasional dishes arriving cooler or drier, but the overall impression remains positive and encourages return visits.
I'm really happy I chose to order from this place today on skip the dishes. The dishes I ordered; lentil soup, soup of the day, artichokes, tirokafteri, half tzatziki half taramas, eggplant salad, garlic butter & haloumi snails, dolmas entree & spinach pie. It came with 3 bags of bread. Very underrated! It'll probably be enough for 4 days along with the other foods I usually eat at home. The portions were kind of small for the prices (good thing I placed a big order) but the chef knows what they're doing with flavour & textures (unique recipes but you can just tell it's authentic because they have a classic gourmet fresh taste). The one critique I have is the spinach pie which seemed too oily & came in a giant plastic container (would have been fine in a paper bag.) I'm still looking forward to toasting it this week.

excellent Greek food, but expect a very loud dining room because this Bring Your Own Wine restaurant is so popular. service was very attentive but not the warmest - waiter dutifully opened our wine bottle, brought ice bucket, quickly brought anything we asked for (tzatziki, cream for coffee) but seemed very standoffish - maybe it was too busy or whatever. the quality of the food made up for it - very tender &delicious fried calamari (small portion though, & no complimentary tzatziki - you need to order it on the side - but it's worth it), great potatoes, best house salad I've had in a long time at a restaurant, filet mignon cooked perfectly, very generous portion of 4 lamb chops - also perfect, shrimp were tasty but small, & excellent coffee/ dessert (baklava, creme caramel). complimentary bread basket but butter was cold.
Went for the lunch special, very great service. Food took some time to arrive but it is to be expected, service is great considering also the fact they were very busy. Ordered the chicken brochette was good, salad - amazing & fresh. Byob is the reason why I picked this place & very happy!
I usually love Jardin de Panos but last night's meal was so disappointing. To be fair, others at my table were happy. But my beef mignon was ruined by poor cooking. I asked for medium & sent it back as it was blue. It wasn't even hot when I tasted it
It came back still very undercooked. Salad was sad

Disappointing at best... We couldn't find anything that we could describe as Greek... My salmon was... poached & flavorless. A friends lamb chops were seriously tasteless. There was no spice in anything, except the $8 incredibly small'dollop' of tzatziki & the salty salad. The server tried her best, particularly when two of our four meals were served ten minutes before my other two friends received their meals... This was the first time in years we chose Jardin du Panos because La Maison Grecque, right down the same street, has always been - & will continue to be - our'go to' Greek restaurant.
My husband is gluten sensitive & we are both vegetarian. We had a delicious meal here. Started with the halloumi & eggplant salad. Then he had the ratatouille & I had the Greek village salad. Everything was super delicious & fresh. The outdoor courtyard was lively & charming. Considering going back for another meal during our short trip!

A Hidden Gem in Montreal Le Jardin de Panos offers a truly delightful dining experience. Nestled in the charming Plateau Mont-Royal area, this Greek restaurant is a hidden gem with a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The outdoor garden seating is particularly enchanting, making it an ideal spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxed evening with friends. The menu is a celebration of authentic Greek flavors, with each dish thoughtfully prepared & beautifully presented. The grilled meats are a standout, cooked to perfection with a smoky, charred flavor that pairs wonderfully with their fresh, vibrant salads. The portions are generous, & the prices are reasonable, offering excellent value for money. Service is friendly & attentive, with the staff making you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Whether you're a fan of Greek cuisine or just looking for a memorable dining experience in Montreal, Le Jardin de Panos is a must-visit. I look forward to returning & exploring more of their menu!
I love this restaurant. Been here multiple of times. This time however I was really disappointed by the Halloumi cheese dish. No salad, no rice, only 2 fat slices of dry cheese & 3 potatoes... Well, order anything else & you will be wholly satisfied.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. I always have the 2 chicken skewers & I am never disappointed. The chicken is so tender, the salad is always so fresh & delicious. I like to order a side of tzatziki which is enough for 2 to share. The restaurant feels so authentic & is full of charm. I love sitting on the outside courtyard area. The restaurant has a great energy & I highly recommend it! Tip: make reservations!

Food was disappointing.. no sauce for meat or potatoes, shrimp had no seasoning, salad was dry & basic with again no sauce. Service was ok. Only thing that stuck out was the terrasse & the BYOB. For the price it cost (100$ for two), if you're looking for a culinary experience this is not it.
The atmosphère is good with plants & decorations. The food was not that exceptional. I had the cote lever de lamb & I didnt like the taste or cook. The salade & potatoes were ok. On the dessert, the ice cream was very delisious.
I love Greek cuisine, but it's the first time I've tried Moussaka & I wasn't disappointed. Absolutely delicious! The béchamel sauce goes perfectly with the minced beef & eggplant. My only disappointment was the house salad that came with it, was rather bland.
Can't wait to try out the garden in the summer! The food was great, & I've had a lot of Greek food! I bought the pork souvlaki plate. Salad was a nice garden dill salad, very nostalgic for me. Souvlaki was tender AF, rice was a nice basil flavor, potatoes we crispy outside & soft inside. Excellent. Atmosphere was great, Greek music playing, Greek decor, a lovely fresco in one of the dining halls, all in a cozy quaint Duluth location. My one complaint is that the bread was cold. Would have been a perfect meal with a warm toasted piece of bread to butter up before the meal! Fried calamari was also excellent! Tzatziki spot on.
