About

Le Jardin De Panos focuses on the preparation of traditional Greek cuisine centered on grilled meats, fresh seafood, and signature preparations like souvlaki and moussaka. The menu emphasizes authentic Mediterranean flavor profiles through the use of high quality olive oil, lemon, oregano, and garlic across various plates. Diners encounter a relaxed, casual environment where the focus remains on straightforward cooking techniques and the presentation of hearty, protein-centric meals. Vegetable-forward appetizers such as spanakopita and crispy fried calamari reflect the establishment's dedication to classic Aegean culinary staples. Each dish aims to maintain consistent standards of preparation that highlight the inherent freshness of the raw ingredients sourced for these kitchen outputs. The dining area provides a functional space for patrons to experience focused Greek food selections in an unpretentious and direct culinary setting.

Review Summary

Le Jardin De Panos is widely regarded as a staple in Montreal, praised for its authentic Greek cuisine, generous portions, and particularly its beautiful garden terrace that offers a charming and romantic atmosphere. Many long-time patrons appreciate the consistent quality of dishes like the moussaka, chicken skewers, and lentil soup, as well as the convenience of the bring-your-own-wine policy. While the majority of guests have enjoyed professional and warm service, some reviews highlight occasional inconsistencies in staff attentiveness, wait times, and reservation management. Despite these varied experiences, the restaurant remains a highly recommended destination for family gatherings and celebrations due to its reasonable pricing and overall welcoming environment.

I thought the food was ok. The salad & potatoes were really good but my chicken souvlaki was just ok. I liked that it was bring your own wine though

excellent Greek food, but expect a very loud dining room because this Bring Your Own Wine restaurant is so popular. service was very attentive but not the warmest - waiter dutifully opened our wine bottle, brought ice bucket, quickly brought anything we asked for (tzatziki, cream for coffee) but seemed very standoffish - maybe it was too busy or whatever. the quality of the food made up for it - very tender &delicious fried calamari (small portion though, & no complimentary tzatziki - you need to order it on the side - but it's worth it), great potatoes, best house salad I've had in a long time at a restaurant, filet mignon cooked perfectly, very generous portion of 4 lamb chops - also perfect, shrimp were tasty but small, & excellent coffee/ dessert (baklava, creme caramel). complimentary bread basket but butter was cold.

This is an awesome restaurant where you can bring your own wine. We sat in the garden area, even though it was cold outside, they have heaters so we were very comfortable. The service was excellent along with the food! Highly recommend!

A classic Greek restaurant funded in 1979 . Very cold lamb was served & it was disappointing . Very slow service & they didn't care that much. Reasonable price /quality ratio. Bring your own wine.

Great place, the terrasse is very nice...the'lunch' deal is also great ! Only disappointment is the potatoes. They use to be cooked in wine or something...super delicious ! I was actually craving them regularly.
Now the potatoes are good like most restaurants, but nothing special. I hope they bring them back......
That said, I will be back.

Always a pleasurable experience at our favourite Greek restaurant in Montreal. Our only dissapointment was not being able to purchase Retsina wine at the SAQ stores to accmpany our dining experience.

Love the ambiance, location & staff. Dishes are always fresh. One of the best grills in town. Bring your own wine. It brings me back to my old undergraduate McGill days. Highly recommend !

We go to this Greek restaurant in Plato often, & it is extremely beautiful. 🇬🇷😍 The restaurant's design is particularly enchanting in the fall, with vibrant colors that create a warm & inviting atmosphere. 🍂🍁 The yard tables look especially picturesque against the backdrop of autumn foliage. The food is delicious, & we are big fans of their moussaka. 😋 A fantastic feature of this restaurant is their special offer: if you order before 3 p.m., you get a complimentary appetizer & dessert with coffee or tea alongside your main course. 🆓☕️🍰 Plus, you can bring your own wine, making it an even better deal. 🍷💰 This offer is available even on weekends, making it a perfect choice for a relaxing weekend lunch. ☀️🍽️ #foodie #greekfood #hiddengem #weekendvibes
