We came all the way from the West Island because we heard this place was really popular, but unfortunately, we were pretty disappointed.
Overall, the food was way too salty, especially the potatoes. They were so salty we couldn't even eat them, so we left most of them. We basically filled up on the salad & vegetables instead.
The calamari wasn't tender & had a very obvious frozen taste & texture. We also tried all four tzatziki flavors, but the original was the only one we really liked.
Definitely not what we expected after hearing so much about this place.
Faye is the best! Went two days in a row, had the Pork Skewers with lemon potatoes the first day, & the second day enjoyed Grilled Shrimps with tzatziki & fries. Absolutely tasty, highly recommended, & I'll definitely be back soon!
Service was amazing! I definitely recommend this place, I was with my brother Devansh & the hostess there is incredibly nice & helped me walk with my disabled mom all the way to the terrasse outside, she had such postive energy & was so understanding I think her name was Bea!
My wife & I love coming to this bar & grill because everything is always so nice! However, we really missed seeing the tall, slim hostess who usually greets us so politely. Her excellent manners always make our visits extra special, but the rest of our experience was still great as always.
There's nothing worse than feeling like you have to be your own waitress at your own table but here's the catch: I truly don't mind helping myself when I can see that a server is overwhelmed. Things get forgotten & I understand that but this wasn't the case. The restaurant was dead.
We started off with a really friendly waitress but unfortunately, the service went downhill & I'm honestly not sure why.
Our kids' food came out before ours, which was completely fine (up until a point). We waited for ketchup but it never came, so I eventually went to the bar myself to grab some. No big deal, things get forgotten like stated.
By the time our food finally came out, the kids had already finished theirs & like any kids they were getting restless & excited to move on to dessert.
Eventually, our waitress came back & asked if we wanted dessert & mentioned that the kids' meals came with ice cream. We said yes but also asked for a dessert menu because we wanted to order something for ourselves so we could all eat together.
The girl who had helped me with the ketchup brought the kids' ice cream out. I explained that we had actually wanted to place an order so we could eat with our kids this time around. She was very apologetic & brought out the cheesecake we had ordered but by then the kids were nearly finished their ice cream & we still were waiting on our ice-cream.
When we were finished, we asked for the bill. Our waitress came over, dropped off the machine & walked away. Not thanking us for coming, not asking how it was, nothing.
Honestly, if it had been my turn to pay, I probably wouldn't have been nearly as generous with the tip as my husband was.
For me, I'd rather have bad food than bad service. Bad food can be disappointing but you'll often give a restaurant another chance. Bad service, on the other hand, can make you decide you simply don't want to come back.
I don't expect perfection & I'm always willing to give grace when things go wrong. But communication & attentiveness go a long way, & unfortunately, this experience left us feeling more like an inconvenience than valued customers.
P.S. Dust your lights. They're covered in cobwebs.
We loved everything! The taramosalata, pikilia, & chicken souvlaki pita were all so fresh & delicious. Everything tasted amazing & was clearly made with care.
Our waitress Faye, was so friendly, smiley, & outgoing. She came by several times to make sure we had everything we needed & really took great care of us. We felt very comfortable & welcomed.
