Hidden gem in the hood.................We made a dinner gathering for Greek Language & Cultural class with our loving teacher Eleni Ladopoulos on a Monday evening & below is how I felt.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at yiaSu a charming Greek restaurant, & let me tell you, it was a delightful experience! As soon as I stepped through the door, the warm ambiance made me feel right at home. The rich aroma of herbs & spices filled the air, instantly whetting my appetite.
For starters, I couldn't resist the classic tzatziki & warm pita bread. The tzatziki was creamy with just the right amount of garlic with 4 different flavours & the pita was perfectly soft & fluffy. I could have eaten it all day!
For my main course, I decided to try the NYC Steak. It was 10 Once meat loaf medium grilled with smooth smoky sauce. Each bite was like a comforting hug, & the flavors were so well balanced. I also had a side of Greek salad, which was fresh & vibrant with crunchy cucumbers, sweet tomatoes, salty feta, & just the right amount of olives.
The service was warm & friendly, making me feel like part of the family. Overall, it was a wonderful meal that left me smiling. If you're looking for a taste of Greece in a cozy setting, this place is definitely worth a visit!
I came for my father's birthday & really enjoyed my plate. I sadly remembered to take a picture when i had already dug in but the food was very good , the portions were very decent didn't finish everything, the food does not have a strong aggressive taste that scares you away but a really delicate taste & you can add salt, pepper to your liking. The calamari were fried to perfection the batter on top not too much for the calamari inside, the rice was also cook perfectly nothing to say about it just have to mention that the potatoes were insanely good & tender.The service was very great & quick the food came out in not a big waiting time & everything was good like i said. Would really recommend for a little family outing, a date or just for a simple dinner!!
Absolutely blown away by this restaurant.
I haven't visited in about a decade, & the food remained stellar.
I had a large group last night, & the employees were on top of it. Shout out to the kitchen for amazing food, to the servers for quick service & to the restaurant for accommodating us with such warmth & love. Felt like we were part of the family for a night! In addition, the restaurant is picturesque for photos:)
I had the lamb chops & would highly recommend for groups & all sorts of occasions.

One of the best if not the best gyro I've had in Montreal
The authentic is so good as well as the chicken pita.
They are generous with the meat & the staff is friendly.
The place is casual & perfect for a chill lunch or dinner with friends & family.
Only downside is the small amount of feta in their greek salad, other than that it's great.
Will keep ordering from here, keep it up, your sandwhiches are the best !!

Honestly, YiaSou has been one of my favorite restaurants for the last several years. The food is absolutely delicious, my personal favorite being the chicken gyro platter in a pita & the chef's spanakopita. Additionally, the staff have always been great & the atmosphere is very comfortable.
Everyone I've introduced to the restaurant genuinely loves the food & always wants to go back. The most surprising being my family of picky eaters who now suggest going to the restaurant whenever they are in town visiting. It was their first taste of Greek food & it's been a success ever since.
The souvlaki at this restaurant is like taking that first bite upon arriving in Greece-crispy, tender, & packed with flavor, it immediately transports you to the heart of the Mediterranean. It's not just food; it's the warmth of family gatherings, where every bite feels like a connection to tradition. The blend of perfectly grilled meat, fresh tomatoes & onions, & savoury tzatziki brings me back to the memories of sharing meals with my family in the xorio. This is hands down the best Greek restaurant in Montreal, & I'll definitely be coming back for more of that unforgettable taste of Greece!
A family favorite! Chicken Gyro salad is my favorite while my son prefers the authentic. Can't go wrong with the pita Potato is yummy!
I've been a regular for quite some time now & every time the food is fresh & tasty & the service is impeccable. The owner Manny is a great guy that makes you feel welcome & the staff is friendly. My favorites include the octopus & calamaris but I've tried several items on their menu & my family & I have never been disappointed. Great job guys!
