Great ambience, great food, excellent service. I really enjoyed the lobster risotto. Cocktail & wine selection is good, & desserts were outstanding.
Very expensive for a not so memorable meal. I had the tasting menu, which was quite disappointing. The amusebouche of fish & strawberries tasted only of strawberries. The scallops were good, but not spectacular. The pre dessert was nice, but the dessert was nothing to write home about. I actually don't even remember what it was. The sommelier was very interesting, but the wine, although good, was way overpriced. The evening cost close to $600 for 2 people, which is unreasonable. That being said, my husband enjoyed his steak.
The cuisine was outstanding. Each dish was beautifully plated & executed with remarkable precision, balancing bold flavors with classic French technique. Every course felt thoughtful & elevated, showcasing both creativity & respect for tradition. The quality of ingredients & attention to detail were evident in every bite. The service was equally impressive: professional, warm, & perfectly paced. The staff demonstrated deep knowledge of the menu & wine pairings while maintaining a relaxed & welcoming atmosphere. You felt cared for without ever feeling rushed or overwhelmed.Le Boulevardier sets a very high standard for fine dining in Montreal. It delivers excellence across food, service, & it is absolutely a destination restaurant. Highly recommended.
We went to this restaurant during#Mtlatable & it did not disappoint. 4 courses & we opted for the wine pairing which was a success. Outstanding dishes were the Buratta with beets, the scallops & the lamb. Both desserts were outstanding. Charles our server was professional & very knowledgeable. The Sommelier was personable & made great recommendations. The view was also beautiful & this is one of the restaurants I have been to where you can chat as a couple & there is limited noise. Great for date night!
This was a restaurant in a hotel. I never think of good restaurants being in a hotel, but Montreal has a number of exceptional ones, this being one of them. French olfood oriented menu with just the right sized serving portion. Very good wine list with a very attentive sommelier. We had a table that overlooked the street & the restaurant was relatively quiet so that you could easily converse across the table.
Extremely disappointing experience. We opted for tasting menu with wine pairing. Portions were small & wine pours were even smaller. Some of the food was quite salty. We got served non alcoholic wine with one of the pairings. Cost was just under $600 for 2 people. Very poor value.
We had a lovely evening here. The staff were professional, attentive, & very kind, & the wine pairings were original & well chosen.
That said, the service was a bit slow-our five-course meal lasted over three & a half hours. The food was tasty & well prepared, though portions felt a little small & not particularly inventive.
Overall, it's a great spot, but the value fell just slightly short of expectations, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
Fantastic meal. Fantastic cocktails & wine. Filet & lamb chops are some of the best we ever had. Lovely people. Service could be a little faster but the food & drinks more than made up for relaxed pace.
Companion & I were there to celebrate a special occasion. We enjoyed the chef's tasting menu with the wine paring. It was wonderful, each course was well prepared & delicious. The sommelier took his time for us to understand what we were tasting & why. I would recommend if you are looking for an exceptional meal.
At breakfast , I waited at least 10 minutes to be seated & then was shown to a table with crumbs (food refuse) directly on the floor in front of table. (Photo attached) if I could see it , the hostess/waitress definitely could see it.
At lunch , with three guests, I ordered a very good Sancerre wine, which after the first glass, it was left in a ice bucket beside table. Our server never came back to refill glasses ; my guest refilled our glasses. When serving our main course , I was left without a fork & had to flag waitress for a fork. As well we had to ask midway through meal for bread.
My plate of halibut with polenta , had a slick of oil on rim of bowl/plate.
Otherwise the conversation at the table was lively , & overall I liked the ambiance of hotel.
Fantastic ambiance in a beautifully designed space. Attentive & informed servers & management. Excellent food & wine options with culinary flare & a uniquely Québécois take on classic French fare. Highly recommended!
Really enjoyed the experience, I don't often eat out at this caliber of restaurant but I had a great experience. Food was great & wine was 100% amazing. I was here for the menu extra collab ✌️
Great wine suggestion from the sommelier. Had the Arctic char as a main & it did not disappoint! Had the soup of the day - vegetarian & it was perfect on this snowy day to warm us up. Beef carpaccio was delicious too.
Was at Le Boulevardier's on New Year's Eve. The 6-course meal was varied between fish & meat. We did not choose the wine pairing option but the sommelier came up with very good options. We would have liked the live music to begin before 10 PM though. If you are there for dinner at 7:00 PM, you are not likely to be around to enjoy the music at 10.
The boulevardier is a pleasant surprise. The food is exquisite, the staff is friendly & attentive to prompt service. Excellent wine pairing options.
lovely French restaurant if a little loud at lunch. The beef tartare was superb. Nice wine list too. Great for entertaining clients.
We had a wonderful dinner, the service was excellent. We had the pain perdu with lobster & the scallops for appetizers. Then we had the lobster risotto & the beef tenderloin with fried fois gras. For dessert we had their take on the Mille feuille, it was superb. The wine was nice & the cocktail, Mansfield, was very tasty. At the end we had a small glass of le coq d'or, which was very nice. Excellent way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary. Thank you to all the staff there.
Amazing tasting menu & wine pairings in a comfortable & hospitable space.
Amazing place, the food was delightful & Jordane the sommelier took great care of us suggesting a french wine called Laroche vineuse, the pairing was fantastic. I definitely recommend.
Great food, French style, & a very nice selection of cocktails & wine. Staff is friendly
