Decadent brunch dishes. My partner craved fluffy pancakes & boy does this place deliver. Took a 3 hour walk after brunch & still felt completely stuffed. Sat on the busy terrace out front on a warm weekday about noon. Service friendly - left us to enjoy & didn't hurry us out.View more

My boyfriend & I came here for lunch. We got there early to line up before the lunch rush, they don't take reservations. We waited 25 minutes.
We sat on the outside patio. It was hot, but we were in the shade which was nice.
We started off with an iced matcha & a cold brew. I've had better matcha elsewhere, so definitely try something else off the drink menu. The cold brew was good.
I got the classic eggs benedict. The portion looked small, but it was actually very filling. The ham did get a little salty towards the end, but still really good. The poached eggs & potatoes were amazing. The true star of the meal was the hollandaise sauce, it was super.
My boyfriend got the'have it all' breakfast. It came with eggs, sausage, ham, bacon, potatoes, beans, french toast, & a pancake. Everything was great, & it was nice to be able to try a wide variety of foods in one plate.
Staff was super friendly, & service was great. We would definitely come back.View more

I've been going here for almost 7 years now. For brunch after a boozy night or boozy morning. Great portions & great menu that gets updated often enough. Great for having fun with friends. Be prepared for a wait but it's part of the experience. I would definitely ask the waiter for recommendations some dishes can miss but for the most part their sweet & savoury combos are great.View more
View more
L'Avenue is the first place we took my niece in Montreal. We wanted her to experience L' Avenue, from the good food & the great staff, the artand generally good vibes. I ordered the californian omelette. It was huge & light & fluffy at the same time. My husband & my niece both got the Tiramisu french toast. They both liked it.It did however reminded me of Eataly's Tiramisu pancakes which I loved. Needless to say, my niece loved her exprience at L' Avenue. for parking are few & far bet
Parking - it was only metered street parking, we came early so we found parking pretty easily but when we were leaving we could see that spaces were few. & far between.
Prices - Although I love this place, I do think it's a bit pricey for what it is.With that said, I consider this a tourist stop for Montreal.View more
Je suis allé plusieurs fois & c'est toujours excellent. Le service (le personnel est tres aimable) & le menu. Une petite chose, veuillez SVP offrir à nouveau les pancakes apple bacon cheddar, c'était incroyable & ça me manque tellement.View more

Came here to eat 2 of the indecisive menu tiramisu french toast & Pistachio french toast, they were so bomb!! Potatoes are well cooked also not too greasy & good portion of meat we got bacon & sausage. The maple syrup was 100% & was so good to pair w the french toast :))
Will be back!!View more
L'Avenue has been has been my favourite breakfast place in Montreal since forever. Been coming here for years. Nobody makes eggs benedict better than they do. Nobody.View more
Possibly the worst eggs benedict I've ever had. I ordered the duck, but it was more like a mushroom/arugula casserole with a few chunks of duck meat. They used duck eggs, which are minuscule, & tiny English muffins. So what's supposed to be the main part was more like a barely noticeable garnish. The potatoes were soggy & flavourless, too. & who makes eggs benedict without hollandaise sauce?
On top of it all, for reasons known only to management, the lone bathroom light is a disco ball (so you can't see anything) & the bathroom has a 360° mirror so when there is a bit light flashing you get a panoramic view of yourself in the worst possible context.
All this for $28 before tax & tip. Never going back there again.View more
Unreal. Was so good. Ran into this on accident & was by far the best food. Drinks, smoothie, & the indecisive strawberry Nutella was so good. Wife loved the potatoesView more
