I can see why there is always a line for L'Avenue! This celebrated Montreal brunch institution in the Plateau-Mont-Royal is known for its generous portions, creative breakfast dishes, colorful décor, & lively atmosphere-an eclectic personality that perfectly reflects the neighborhood. I had a weekday lunch here & it did not disappoint. I ordered the red shakshuka & a detox smoothie, & both were fresh, flavorful, & generously portioned.

L'Avenue also reflects the history & character of Avenue du Mont-Royal, which has evolved from a 19th-century road into one of Montreal's most vibrant streets for independent shops, cafés, restaurants, & art. Food is made fresh &, with the high volume of customers, there is a bit of a wait for dishes. That said, the atmosphere, quality, & generous portions make it well worth it-& I look forward to coming back!

The blueberry pancakes are a must. Very fluffy not too sweet. The smoke salmon is also very good as well.

This place is absolutely amazing! Went there on Sunday & there was a line out the door & maybe a 15 minute wait (which was very much worth it). The food tasted great, the portions were big & the service was efficient. I had eggs, sausage, potatoes, beans & a Pain Doré (some form of French Toast) with pistachio cream in it & raspberry sauce, white chocolate & strawberries on top of it 😭 so dang good. The potatoes were well cooked & very flavorful. Benjamin was our server & he was super cool. He made sure we were all good & made the experience super smooth. If you're looking for a tasty & filling breakfast with a lot of great options to choose from, this is the place to go to!

My girlfriend & I visited this place for the first time last Sunday, & oh my god. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was phenomenal. Our server, Ava, recommended the sweet & savoury croque madame & it did not disappoint. She was so lovely & attentive, I would come back for the service alone. If you're looking for a great brunch spot, check this place out!! 💗

La cuisine le goût est bon par contre leurs assiettes sont très copieux, faut vraiment aller avec un bon appétit. Le service est excellent & l'ambiance aussi. Le décor des salles de bains est super!
