La Fabrique de Bagel Montréal offers a quick snapshot of its appeal, with bagels that are often fresh, chewy, and generously filled, a friendly and fast service, and a bright, cozy atmosphere that many reviews describe as welcoming; praise centers on the quality and variety of bagels and toppings like smoked salmon, avocado, pesto, and cream cheese, while some comments flag higher prices for the portions and occasional inconsistency in texture or cooking, and a few notes mention limited veggie options or mixed experiences with seating and ambiance.
Must try bagel shop in Montreal. It is walking distance from many hotels & it has a really cute & clean atmosphere. I tried their famous bagel & asked them to sandwich it with pear, brie & prosciuto.

Pretty disappointing… I got the'halloumi' & roasted veggie bagel & while there were an ok amount of veggies on the bagel there was almost no halloumi… two very meagre slices & very very thin to boot. Since there are only a few veggie options I'd have expected a similar amount of Halloumi to the meat on those sandwiches or the falafel… oh well.
The bagel itself was very good & my friend liked the falafel sandwich - the falafel was substantial at least.
The server was very friendly so I appreciated that!
Can't say much for the one table of patrons in there… we arrived at lunch (1pm) it was empty in there except for the one table… & got stared at pretty heavily by that older group of men so we didn't feel very welcome. That's obviously not the fault of the business but thought I'd mention it.

Came two days in a row because it was so good!! Staff was friendly & treated us amazing. Had two sandwiches both days because it was so delicious. I heavily recommend the pesto cream cheese as well!
Visiting Montreal for a few days & staying nearby. Stopped in for breakfast early Monday morning & had an incredible experience. Everything was delicious & the staff were amazing! The front gentleman was extremely pleasant, explained everything to us & helped us navigate the menu. We had sandwiches, espressos & sides (smoothie, soup & bagel/cream cheese) & we all loved our choices. Highly recommend!
Very friendly & extremely delicious. Adil, fluent in English, explained everything & was so helpful. The bagel sandwiches were magnifique & the kids loved the smoothies. Great spot to stop for a quick breakfast. Will be back.
Bagels are so fresh & delicious! We had the chicken pesto & the prosciutto sandwiches with garden salad - wow! Super tasty. & amazing, friendly service! Thank you Adil for making this experience excellent!

I guess there's a reason they don't show prices anywhere. 29 dollars for 2 bagel sandwiches is insane. The smoked meat bagel has too many ingredients. You can barely taste the meat, & the falafel bagel was okay. Overall, it is not worth the insane price.
Good option for vegetarians: Had an egg & avocado sandwich. There were other vegetarian options including sandwiches, bagels, cream cheese, butters, & pastries.
I recently visited this cafe, & while my experience had its ups & downs, there are some highlights worth mentioning. The coffee is decent but nothing extraordinary. One thing that stood out was the inconsistency with the lattes-mine was overly foamy, more like a cappuccino than a true latte. Given the prices, I was expecting a bit more precision. On the bright side, the bagel sandwiches are fantastic! The BLT was a solid choice, but the real star for me was the salmon cream cheese bagel. It was fresh, flavorful, & definitely worth trying. Overall, while the coffee could use some improvement, the bagel sandwiches alone make it worth a visit. Just be prepared to pay a little more than you'd expect.
