La Fabrique de Bagel Montréal offers a quick snapshot of its appeal, with bagels that are often fresh, chewy, and generously filled, a friendly and fast service, and a bright, cozy atmosphere that many reviews describe as welcoming; praise centers on the quality and variety of bagels and toppings like smoked salmon, avocado, pesto, and cream cheese, while some comments flag higher prices for the portions and occasional inconsistency in texture or cooking, and a few notes mention limited veggie options or mixed experiences with seating and ambiance.
I'm sorry, but the food here is worse than a supermarket . The salmon bagel is pathetically under filled, their soup tasted of absolutely nothing & the chocolate cookie was probably 2 weeks old. Almost $30 for this, absolute ripoff. Do not recommend
The bagels were remarkable! We especially enjoyed the strawberry cream cheese & the salmon avocado. The service was immensely great from samples to recommendations. There was even a candy cane tree that the amazing lady tipped us on. Ultimately I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It has made me see bagels in a new perspective! P.S. the waitress was so nice!
La Fabrique de Bagel de Montréal at Balfour is everything you want in a neighborhood bagel shop. The bagels are fresh, warm, & perfectly chewy with that signature Montréal-style flavor. I had a sesame bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, & capers, & it was absolutely perfect - fresh ingredients & generous portions. The staff were super welcoming & helpful, & you can tell they take pride in what they do. There's something really comforting about walking into a place that smells like fresh-baked bagels & coffee - it just feels right.
The picture says for itself. It was so good, perfect for a quick little breakfast, staff was friendly as well! 100% recommend salmon & Brie if they have it :)

I recently visited this cafe, & while my experience had its ups & downs, there are some highlights worth mentioning. The coffee is decent but nothing extraordinary. One thing that stood out was the inconsistency with the lattes-mine was overly foamy, more like a cappuccino than a true latte. Given the prices, I was expecting a bit more precision. On the bright side, the bagel sandwiches are fantastic! The BLT was a solid choice, but the real star for me was the salmon cream cheese bagel. It was fresh, flavorful, & definitely worth trying. Overall, while the coffee could use some improvement, the bagel sandwiches alone make it worth a visit. Just be prepared to pay a little more than you'd expect.
Staff was nice but salmon on bagels was not the best quality & baked goods were not the freshest. Overall ok but prob wouldn't come again... if they had fresher food then I definitely would because the atmosphere is nice & all the staff were nice.
Everything was a bit pricey for what it was, but the bagels were delicious, & it was nice dining there beside the big open window on a nice day. We had bagels with smoked salmon & capers, ham, egg, cheese, & avocado, & cream cheese. All of them were good & made for a nice, light lunch. We drove & parking was a bit tricky because it was busy with so many eateries nearby, but the location is convenient.
