Wow!!! The food is incredible. We had chicken wings, wagyu gyoza, edamame, shrimp tempura, buruzu sushi, yaki udon, yuzu donuts. Everything was so tasty & we loved the chicken wings so much we ordered another round. It was very hard to pick a favourite but if I have to pick, it was the yuzu donuts...bit size & the yuzu flavour worked great with the sweetness & heaviness of donuts, perfect balance! Oh, one more thing, the cocktails we ordered were also excellent...Korunbu & Yugarita...very easy to drink & not very sweet, perfectly balanced.
This is definitly my favorite sushi restaurant in the old port ! Always fresh & tasty, the staff is very helpful & nice ! We asked for special desserts for a special occasion, & everything was done perfectly. We also had some complicated dietary restrictions, & it was very well handled. If you don't know what to order, simply order the chef's special, you won't be disappointed! I highly recommend trying this amazing restaurant !

Had a great experience at this restaurant; nigiri & rolls were perfect, drinks were delicious & our server Annikat was polite, attentive & very professional. Would definitely return again!
Super restaurant, merci a William & son equipe pour ses recommadations (le plateau 30 makis & ses donuts au yuzu incroyable) je recommende & j'emmene mes amis des que possible!!
Kyo is expensive, but worth going for a celebration or special occasion! I've been there three times (twice for dinner & once for lunch) & always had a positive experience. The lunch options are definitely more limited, so I'd recommend going for dinner, if you can.
My favourites are the'snake' sushi (8 pieces), pork gyoza, & plum wine tasting - expensive, but truly delicious & enough to split with one or two people. If you've never been & want to get a bit of everything, I found the chef's choice makis to come with a nice variety, there's something for everyone!
I've also had the'temptation' (5 pieces) &'furaidomaki' (6 pieces) sushis, which were good but nothing special like the'snake.'
If you're going for dinner, make sure to have a reservation!!!

First, I have to say the food & drinks are awesome! 🍣 The cocktails were great, & the dishes were so good. No complaints there at all.
?But, I ran into a few things that were just strange. For one, they have a weird menu rule: if you miss lunch, they only have a small menu with almost nothing to choose from. It seems like a bad idea for a popular spot, & I think that's why it was so empty when we got there.
?Unfortunately, our waiter seemed really distracted. He brought our drinks without straws & forgot to bring them when we asked. Later, he also forgot to bring us chopsticks & napkins for our main meal. We had to ask another waitress, & she was so nice & brought everything in just seconds-she was a real lifesaver! Our dumplings also took over 40 minutes to arrive, so it felt like our waiter just forgot to place the order. 😩
?The place itself is very clean, & all the staff looks neat. But honestly, the bad service really hurts the experience from the great food. I hope it was just a bad day for them.
This Japanese restaurant is located near the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal, which is very convenient for travelers like me. I checked the Google rating before going in, but unfortunately, I was a little disappointed.
I ordered the curry pork & yakiudon, but the taste didn't quite meet my expectations. The tempura was very dry & didn't look appealing at all. The server didn't seem very attentive either, which affected the overall experience. Also, the washroom is located downstairs, which might not be convenient for everyone.

A fun & cozy izakaya bar. The kaarage chicken was an absolute winner. Crispy, crunchy, moist inside, & has a delightful slightly spicy warmth. Perfectly done japanese fried chicken that pairs well with Asahi beer. The gyozas weren't so perfect, drowning in a Thai sweet hot sauce. The curry chicken sauce was flavorful & popping but the chicken was was ordinary, slightly over cooked, there wasnt anything to dip into the curry sauce so we ordered a bowl of rice to accompany. The sushi was surprisingly good. We ordered califonia rolls, & it arrived with sweet tamago, unexpected & yet delightful sweet touch. We also ordered a rainbow roll, that was also good.
