They prepare dishes quickly, & the food tastes authentic. I enjoyed the crab meat & fish soup & the veggies is not bad either. It's a convenient spot for groups, but it's a bit noisy & not suitable for formal conversations, so bear that in mind. Overall, I still like it if you wanna have Chinese food with friends & family.
A really good joint for authentic chinese food. One of the best places in chinatown imo.
An exceptional find for this who know where to look. This authentic Chinese experience is almost hidden from virtually everyone outside of locals in the know within Montreal's Chinatown community, behind an inconspicuous door leading up to the second storey location. While this visit was absolutely worth the three hour drive for us, it's worth noting that people with mobility issues will have no option but to traverse a long & narrow set of stairs. The food, served at the height of freshness, is vibrant & delicious. The presentation stands out from what you might expect from a normal Chinese food restaurant & is an experience in itself. An incredible culinary experience.
Authentic, fresh food. Basic atmosphere, but great food, attentive service.
Good was very good & what I perceived as authentic. We decided to enter to this restaurant bc it looked authentic & most of the clients looked Asian, which I took as a good sign.
We waited on the line to be seated. It felt like they were giving preference to others, supposedly they had reservation but the body language didn't felt like they did.
We were finally seated & then asked to move to a smaller table. Ok, then we moved & we looked at the menu, as a group we decided to get dishes we were familiar with & to get a dish that was unknown. Everything was very good. The spring rolls were amazing!
I would come back & would recommend, just do not expect a fine/nice dining experience, it is more like an authentic atmosphere.

Native Chinese here - my family has been going to this restaurant for decades. In terms of taste, this place nails it every time. The dishes are authentic, & there are lots of varieties to try. We don't go for the Westernized dishes like General Tao; we highly recommend the mushroom rolls which are a house specialty.
Just like you wouldn't expect foie gras at McDonald's, don't come here expecting top service or decor, but the food is well worth it.
