We always go to Jack Astor's for our family birthdays but tonight was really special. Our waitress for the evening was Peggy & she just happens to have the same birthday as our Grandma! We got to celebrate together 😁 she gave us excellent service. Always pleasant, smiling, great sense of humor! She was great at coming by regularly to check on but also giving us a chance to eat & chat ✅✅✅ had lots of favourite meals around the table, but my grandpa also tried the Asian wonton tacos with chicken & was extremely happy with his meal. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the fries were great as always. & had some DEELISH desserts 😃 extremely happy with our service this evening. Thanks again Peggy & team for a great experience & happy birthday once again!
I was at Jack Astors Dorval twice this week. Both times I had exceptional service. My order came as ordered (picky eater) & everything was hot & tasty. Brandy. Dylan & Stacy (assistant General Manager) went above & beyond to make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend their nachos, asiago bow ties, burgers & tacos! May I suggest the ownership group brings back their quesadillas. They were AMAZING. BRING THEM BACK!!!!!

Had a date night with my little daughter tonight & Jack Astor's took great care of us. My little one polished off her bow tie pasta & loved every bite! I've been eating the same chicken finger meal for over 15 years & satisfied every time! Thank you to our waitress Peggy for the great service & to the entire Jack Astor's staff!
This was my first time eating at jack astors. The customer service was more than great. Our bartender Amanda was exceptional & catered to our every need. The food was served quickly & tasted amazing. 10/10 would recommend!

This used to be a go to place for food & atmosphere. I've been 3 times in last 3 months & each was terrible. Food has gone downhill. There was alway 6-7 plates which were A quality...now food is plane Jayne. Where did the Fajitas go Where did the Jack Astors Cream Soda go? Everything is boring, time to reinvent yourselves. Put some effort into the food. Won't be returning.

So my dad & I decided to have our monthly restaurant night recently & we decided to go to Jask Astors. We haven't gone there since the pandemic hit in 2020 so it's was about time we came back. We were expecting to have some good food there but we were pretty disappointed. Here is my breakdown on how rate everything. Food - ⭐️⭐️ We both ordered the Chicken Parmigiana from the menu. The meal consisted of a piece of chicken with tomato sauce & melted cheese on top & a side of pasta with cream & tomato sauces. The meal is very mediocre. Pasta was a bit under-seasoned & chicken felt like it was deep fried. Cheese was barely melted on said piece of chicken. If your expecting a more traditional style of "chicken parm" do not go here. Also note the price for the meal was $25 & it was a smaller portion than what you would see at other restaurants for the same price or for a little cheaper. Service - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our waitress was nice, respectful & understanding of our requests to improve our experience. No real complaints for the service. However, I am not giving the service 5 stars as it was not over & beyond, just your typical good service. Atmosphere - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The atmosphere was typical for Jask Astor's, no real complaints here aswell. However, it's does not help that the place was pretty empty when we went. In total: Food: ⭐️⭐️ Service: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Atmosphere: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Average rating 3.3333/5 (Rounded to ⭐️⭐️⭐️) Extra notes: I do not recommend going here for food here really. If your going out for some drinks, this place is not bad to go to. (Though drinks are a bit expensive here) They have a decent sized bar, plenty of TV's if you want to watch any sports games that are on.
Jack Astor's is one of my favorite places , its been a long time I haven't been there it's just came off my mind , when I asked my colleagues, to go there , they said ohh yaa , we have forgotten this place, the food is good , tge service is perfect, & fir birthdays & tiger occasions it's tge place, children love it , they can draw in the tables, I love thus place .
Jack Astor's is an American style restaurant with the expected fare. I had the steak frites & garlic bread which was pretty good but expensive for what it is. We had the nachos beforehand which were super salty but good. Service was ok. Most of the staff seemed younger & less experienced. Overall it was a good visit.
Listennnnn....this jack Astor's has the most amazing cook! The food is always amazing 😍 I have tried to order at other branches but it's not the same. You can tell the cook loves his job & he deserves all the credit!! I'm a very picky eater when it comes to restaurants & they have not disappointed once!!

I have been to this Jack Astors for years & always super satisfied. For this reason, I put 4 stars instead of 3. This last time was different. Food was amazing, but the service was when it changed, starting with the quiet talking hostess (which was actually funny, cause none of us could hear what she was saying), the waiting staff forgot our utensils... twice, ordered drinks before our appetizers (as normal), received food at this point, it was the second request for utensils, & had to ask about our drinks. We will be back cause we always enjoy the food.
Note to owner: Why did you remove the fish & chips & fajitas from the menu?
