J'ai demandé au serveur de me dire si le boeuf haché était halal. Il ne savait pas ce que c'était de la viande halal ni si le hamburger en était.
Il est parti vérifier en cuisine.
À mon grand étonnement, la viande est bien halal.
Sur le coup, j'ai pensé qu'il se pouvait qu'ils aient cru que je voulais manger halal & c'est pourquoi ils ont dit oui halal. J'ai dit cela au serveur. Il m'a répondu : non, non, c'est bien du halal.
Je déteste le goût du boeuf haché halal. Il goûte le fer, comme le foie, & le gras.
Surtout je m'oppose à l'abattage des animaux pour consommation des certifications religieuses halal (musulmane) & casher (juïve) où les animaux sont égorgés sans étourdissement préalable (perte de conscience) & meurent au bout de leur sang, leur causant de l'anxiété & des souffrances inutiles; souffrances qui affectent le pH de leur viande, de là le goût de fer.
Je n'ai pas pris de hamburger. Je me suis mise à questionner la provenance des autres viandes.
Si je n'avais pas invité mon amie pour sa fête & que c'était sa suggestion de restaurant, je me serais levée & j'aurais quitté le restaurant.
Bien sûr, je n'y retournerai pas.
Maintenant, expliquez-moi pourquoi vous vendez de la viande halal à tous vos clients quand 94 % de la société canadienne n'est ni musulmane ni juive ?
Toujours une belle soirée au Jack Astor's de Boisbriand! Super ambiance durant les matchs des Canadiens aussi! Nous avons été servis par Sam ce soir &, en plus d'être aux petits soins, il a fait preuve d'une attention toute particulière lorsque je lui ai mentionné mon allergie alimentaire grave. Un serveur très agréable, aimable & attentionné. Merci Sam!
On va commencer par parler de vos toilettes sales, pas de sechoirs fonctionnel & le savon a main vide. Ensuite, On etait assi sur des chaises de patio, On est arriver ca pris du temps avant d'avoir de l'eau, sam était prêt a prendre notre commande d'alcool avant meme de nous avoir apportez de l'eau. Ensuite, notre repas a ete servi pi on avait pas d'ustensiles a fallu attendre que quelqu'un repasse. On as demander le ketchup 3x a 2 personnes avant de finalement l'avoir & mon club poulet avait des morceau de brûler (de petit pour aux extrémités). On a pas eu de remplissage d'eau. & j'aimerais dire au propriétaire que les chandails des employés avec des slogans malaisant cest tres boff... je ai un slogan pour vous : jack astors, juste une fois.
J'ai détester mon service ce soir avec Sam, pas de verre d'eau, pas d'ustensiles, pas de serviette sans le demander. Demander du ketchups pour les frites, oublié & attendre 15min pour le recevoir, ça fait dure, mon repas etait rendu froid.
Avec tout les slogans suspicieux, j'ai une suggestion pour vous: Serveur pas présent, 10%!
The atmosphere is great & so is the food i would just suggest a little more organization between staff & managers it was hard to even get a manager to speak to as they were nowhere to be found

Horrible service! Unorganized to say the least. Made reservations for 4 people Bar section they gave us seats behind the draft machine where you couldn't watch the game with one place on the other side. No one tried to accommodate us or gave us options.Very in competent ! We had to figure it out ourselves . Forgot to bring us sauces for wings & nachos. We actually got one sauce when the wings were done ! Slow service. Drinks took forever . 7 minutes left in 3rd period they asked us to move to other side of dining room because a kid joined us with his mom dor the last few minutes . They could of left us there especially after spending so much money over the weekend there . Management knows nothing about alcohol laws,sitting at table near bar isn't the bar . Friday nights service was great ! Sunday night useless staff . Lazy , mixed up. Too busy watching their phones instead of doing their job . Result 0$ tip & loss of clients. So disappointed.
Worst night ever took 2 chairs at the bar no réservation no signs nothing
Manager accused that he put réservation signs himself with a client that confirmed was not the case

Nothing exceptional, it's loud, not much of a menu, service was chaotic.
The appetizers were forgotten, to finally be served for free, as they would have simply trashed them, after finding them lying around in the kitchen.
The food is decent, nothing memorable, but good, non the less.
It's been convenient with my friends that aren't adventurous with eating out.

Xavier Nous a donné une super bon service amical, courtois, avec un bon sens de l'humour. Il nous a aussi bien conseillé pour nos choix de repas. Good job Jack Astor's!
Really average food & service. We ordered burgers & it didn't even come close to a Harvey's burger & fries. It blows my mind that a restaurant like this can't deliver a really good burger that is worth $25. Come on folks, you really need to up your game.
