Went for lunch as a group. I ordered the asiago chicken bow ties which was good except for the breading on the chicken being burnt. Yum carbon. I didnt mention it at the time as I was hungry & I didn't feel like waiting for them to remake it. What do they do with the cooked chicken & burnt breading? Probably throw it out. I would rather not be wasteful with food. My wife ordered the miso salmon bowl which she told me after the meal the sauce was way too salty. I even tried some of the leftover rice & damn was she right. My friend ordered an apple juice for their daughter & had to tell correct the order as they heard orange juice twice. She still got an orange juice instead of apple juice. Daughter didn't really care as she drank it happily. The kids had a nice time playing tic tac toe on the brown paper covering the tables while the adults had a nice conversation. Sadly, this is a one & done restaurant for us. Just not worth the price if food is over salted & burnt. I just want to warn people.
Jack Asters used to be 5 stars but unfortunately they took away the beer & cheddar soup, this was a staple! It was one of the best soups & we would order Jack Asters specifically for the soup. Please bring it back! 🙏🏻 - Had to update my review to 3 stars instead of 4 because, when we order 9 chicken fingers, extra plum sauce should be included. Even with the extra sauce its not enough for the chicken fingers. Please fix this - Thanks.
Ate at Jack Astors recently for a birthday. Had been a while since I ate there. I found the menu to be very basic & paired down from previous visits. Very disappointed to see the fajitas were removed. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken was delicious but the fries were very ordinary & too salty. The cheeseburger was delicious. The Hunter Chicken was a very generous portion. Be aware though, the sauce is spicy. The service was efficient & friendly. Although the server forgot to ask us if we wanted a dessert & jumped straight to bill.

We were hungry after the drive down from Quebec City, & found this place near our hotel. It's a Canadian chain, apparently.
We were greeted quickly by a friendly hostess, Faith, & escorted to our table promptly. Our wonderful server, Thaïla , stopped by soon thereafter & was kind & attentive. Our drinks & food arrived without unnecessary delay.
The calamari appetizer was light & tender. Our son had the bacon cheeseburger, which was solid as were his fries. My wife & I split the Thai Chicken Curry bowl, & it turned out to be an excellent choice! Slightly spicy, but not too much so.

Ordered the Mexican chicken bowl. Said no cilantro & no onion as I have an allergy. Was eating it & tasted onion. The tomatoes had onion. When server informed he felt bad. No manager came to check on me. Luckily I only feel Slightly unwell. Allergies should be taken seriously. This is not like usual for your location.
First return visit after a few years away. This used to be a go to restaurant for family gatherings at a reasonable price. Buy a main & start off with the garlic pan bread for a small additional fee. The pan bread is now $10.98, overcooked & dry. Very small lobster & crab dip was $22.97. A plate of nachos is $30! These are no longer reasonable prices. This is not a high end dining establishment warrenting these high end prices. Who is paying $69.97 for a steak here? I still enjoy the flavor of the Asiago chicken bow-tie pasta but at $25.89, it's not enough to make me come back.
Used to come here from time to time but it's been awhile since I have. Prices are not proportionate to the serving size. Used to do family gatherings there but not anymore. Staff are good. Just wish you get better value for what you pay for (e.g. chicken tenders).
Very disappointing experience with our server, Gaby. We didn't even get offered water, & there was barely any interaction throughout the meal. After the food was brought out, nobody came back to check if everything was okay. The only time Gaby came back to our table was after we were already done eating to ask if we needed anything else.
The food tasted decent, but my pasta was lukewarm while my husband's meal came out hot, which honestly made me jealous. The chicken in my pasta also had burnt edges, & despite paying extra for bacon & mushrooms, there was barely any bacon included.
The service seemed heavily focused on the other side of the restaurant, even though the hockey game hadn't even started yet. My drink was also mostly ice, which felt like a waste of money.
What disappointed me the most was at the end of the meal. I still had leftovers, & instead of asking if I wanted a takeout container like most servers usually do, Gaby cleared my plate & stacked another person's dirty plate on top of mine, making it obvious I couldn't bring it home anymore. She did offer to replace it afterward without charging me, which I appreciated, because honestly if she hadn't offered that, I probably wouldn't have left a tip.
Definitely hesitant to come back after this experience.
