If you are looking for the ultimate Italian dining experience in Montreal, Impasto is an absolute must-visit. We dined here on a beautiful summer Wednesday evening, & from start to finish, it was nothing short of perfection.

The restaurant features a gorgeous, chic interior with a warm, inviting atmosphere & a gracious welcome upon arrival. A special shoutout to our server, Corinne, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, & knowledgeable throughout the evening.

Every single dish we ordered was bursting with authentic, delicious flavors, especially the pillowy gnocchi & the perfectly executed, creamy Cacio & Pepe.
Thank you to the entire team at Impasto for a truly lovely & memorable evening. We cannot wait to return!

We ended up at Impasto after striking out at Mon Lapin, where the experience felt a bit pretentious & unwelcoming. In hindsight, we're so glad it happened because it led us here.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, inviting, & exactly what we were looking for. The service was friendly & attentive & every dish tasted incredibly fresh.

Our standouts were the baked clam appetizer, the focaccia with whipped ricotta, the crudo with tomatoes, & both the gnocchi & the cavatelli. Every bite was memorable. They also have an excellent wine list that paired beautifully with the meal.

Sometimes the best meals happen by accident, & this was definitely one of those happy surprises. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

A wonderful dinner experience from start to finish. From the warm & friendly reservation taken over the phone, to the gracious welcome upon arrival, everything was perfect. Our server, Benjamin, was attentive & kind, & the outdoor setting made for a beautiful atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a truly lovely evening!

atmosphere & service were great but food & portion size was underwhelming. staff were very friendly & attentive. the cocktail menu was not very special in my opinion. the food was good but nothing special or mind blowingly good. the portions were also small for the price. the flavors for all the pastas were balanced & cooked well but not much food on the plate. the branzino was good but nothing amazing. the best value for price was the fried pork with cheese on top. overall, i would not return but id still say its worth a try if you're looking for a lighter dinner.

Walked into Impasto just as lunch was winding down & was greeted with warmth. I got a lovely table by the window, perfect for soaking in the ambiance. Service? Flawless. Attentive without being intrusive.

I started with the minestrone, rich, hearty, & full of flavour, followed by the porchetta, which was nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly crisp on the outside, juicy on the inside, & beautifully plated over creamy beans & greens. A balanced dish in every sense.

Wines by the glass were decent, & the prices across the board were very reasonable for the quality. Between the food, the service, & the setting, this is a top-tier spot in Little Italy. No complaints, just compliments.

Very delighted by my experience! Excellent Branzino, gnocchi & a succulent tiramisu. The ingredients are fresh, the taste great & the presentation perfected!

I was visiting friends in Montreal & they suggested this restaurant. Though the space is very small, everything about it was worth the five stars I've given it! The food, & the service, could not have been better! Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing. The dishes he suggested were well-prepared & well presented.. One of the women in our party is vegetarian & she found multiple dishes to choose from. I highly recommend this restaurant.

WOW! The food here was absolutely delicious! We started with a few craft cocktails, I had the lemon one, it was refreshing & light. As a starter we had the Burrata, & what a surprise...served with a pistachio citron sauce that was incredible! Something very different than the usual Burrata dish. The sauce was soo tasty we were fighting over the last swipe with Foccia. For dinner I had the Branzino & my friend had the calamari with pasta dish. Both were fantastic! The fish was light, a little crispy & flavorful. Well balanced with the beurre blanc & the caviar was a nice touch, not overwhelming. The calamari was the freshest I have ever eaten. Soft, flavorful, not chewy in the slightest. We loved EVERY bite! Our waiter was attentive & very charming. He took great care of us. Highly recommend this place.
