I went during'Happening Gourmand' & was able to try a 3 course meal. I was so happy they were on the list because I've been very eager to go. Honestly, the dishes were okay but the drinks won me ever! So did the bartender! The drinks were so beautiful & delicious. It's definitely a place I'll stop by for drinks but that's all.

Hier, j'ai eu la chance de découvrir le Restaurant bar Hang, situé sur la Rue Notre Dame à Montréal. Ce fut une expérience inoubliable, où j'ai été traitée comme une reine. Les plats proposés étaient tout simplement incroyables, avec des saveurs qui ont émerveillé mes papilles gustatives. Je vous recommande vivement les pétoncles ainsi que les délicieux rouleaux de mozzarella en entrée, ainsi que l'expérience de mixologie à la table. Le service, assuré par Marc-Olivier Duquette & son équipe, a été impeccable. En toute sincérité, je donne une note de 110%. Ce restaurant est un véritable bijou & je le recommande fortement. Quoi de mieux pour célébrer un anniversaire ? 👌❤️
I went with a group of four girls for their NYE event which was supposed to continue until 3am but had already died down after 12:30am. Overall, we had a great time, the staff were friendly & they tried their best to make it an enjoyable evening. Had to wait a very long time at the bar to be served but the staff were super kind nonetheless! Not necessarily the place for dancing, people weren't very invested in the music & the place wasn't that full either, but definitely a great place for a calm dinner & drink, if that's what you're looking for! :)
We had an absolutely amazing time at Hang Bar! The food & drinks were simply delicious, the service was exceptional & the ambiance was nothing short of incredible. Thank you so much for providing such a memorable New Year's experience. We will be back the next time we are in Montreal!
The best service & the best Vietnamese I've had in a while. I came this past Friday with a couple of friends, the hostess (I forgot her name but it starts with a D) was super sweet & offered us the bar, & I was greeted by the nicest bartender. Had the pho & the tartare. It was perfection. The manager kept coming to see us & asking if everything was going well. Thank you again & can't wait to come back.
Food was delish it didn't lose the essence of Vietnam. Staff were pros, amazing cocktails at the bar, I ordered a beef marrow that had no marrow, told the waitress it was terrible due to the fact, she brought me another that was too my satisfaction. Atmosphere was beautiful, nice house music on that Saturday evening. Well worth the spend. Will come again.

The good : 1.Amazing cocktails. Try their spritz twisted with tequilla patron, amazing. 2. Music was epic all night.. kudos to the DJ. Good music can make any restaurant & bar so much more fun. 3. Spicy tofu entrance is absolutely delicious. The OK : Food was overall OK. The bad : 1. We reserved a table & arrived on time but we only got the table almost an hour later. We waited at the bar. Got compensated with a round of shots, thanks for that at least. 2. The dessert on my picture below is an abomination & should not exist. Dry. Tasteless. Sad.
I recently went to Hang Bar, a Vietnamese restaurant, & I have mixed feelings about the experience. The first thing that struck me was the charming aesthetic of the place, it's beautifully designed & visually pleasing. The service was also on point, with attentive staff. However, I did encounter a significant downside during my visit - the loud music. It was so deafening that I couldn't even hold a conversation with my friend. While the music itself was enjoyable, I felt it was a bit overbearing, especially given that it was 10 pm, & I presume they wanted to create a lively ambiance. Moving on to the food, I had a bit of a hit-&-miss experience. We ordered the ribs hai hau, which had a generous portion for $19, but it felt like it needed something on the side to make it a complete meal. The banh mi fois gras was a disappointment; it was exceptionally small, not even 6 inches, & priced at $22, which felt overpriced for what you got. On the bright side, the Da Nang fried wings were delicious, but they proved to be a challenge to eat gracefully in a setting that seemed more suited for fine dining. Where Hang Bar did shine was in their cocktails. The cocktails were top-notch, & if I were to return, it would likely be for the drinks. In summary, Hang Bar is a cute spot with a great aesthetic, good service, & fantastic cocktails. However, the loud music, mixed food quality, & pricing for some dishes make me hesitate to return for a full dining experience. If I were to go back, it would be only for a cocktail outing.
J'ai essayé le Hang avec une amie & nous avons beaucoup aimé. Les plats étaient tous très bons (il y a seulement le tartare de saumon qui avait peut-être un goût trop prononcé de poisson, tout le reste était très bon). Nous étions assises au bar & notre serveur Marco était vraiment super! Marco est une perle rare comme serveur, très attentionné, il connaît très bien son menu, en gros vraiment un très bon service (nous avons aussi bien aimé le choix de sa musique pour le restaurant) Merci Marco
We had a great time at Hang Bar thanks to our excellent server, Cass! The food was very good, better than it seemed in the reviews I saw on Google. I recommend the ribs. The wings were good but a little too sweet for me. The fried rolls were good too. & the coconut flan was really delicate & not overly sweet. The prices are honestly acceptable seeing what restaurants are charging these days. There was a DJ & the music was great. The sound system made a difference since the speakers were hanging from the ceiling (not behind your head). The vibe was good. People were enjoying their food, the music, & the cocktails. I didn't try their cocktails but they had a few special ones on the menu. Next time!
Great food & vibe! The day we went, it lacked customer service a bit. The bartender left us hanging & went to serve a bigger group. Then she came back after long apologizing & had manager take a free shot with us. The food took around 40 to 45 minutes to arrive. They did give us discount on our bill. But it could be just a busy day which resulted in average customer service. Other than that, everything went well during our dine in.
