Celebrated my birthday at Gibbys while in Montreal. Started with table bread, steak tartare & escargot. All delicious. Beef Wellington was one of the best I've had. Great service & ambiance as well. Highly recommended in you are in Old Montreal!

Best steak house in montreal. From the ambience to the service to the food, everything was spectacular. Our server, Luc, was amazing - so attentive & accommodating. 100/10 recommend !!!

Notre première visite était sous forme de date night & on nous a assis à côté de plusieurs groupes qui étaient bruyants. Nous comprenons cela mais peut être il aurait été judicieux de ne pas placer des tables de deux à côté des tables de 10. Cela dit, nous avions une réservation pour 20h30, & nous sentions que le service était essoufflé & laissait à désirer. Longue attente avant de prendre notre commande, verres d'eau qui restent vides. Jai commandé un Martini avec olives farcies au fromage bleu mais on m'a apporté le drink avec des olives avec noyaux sans explications ou excuses. Lorsque j'ai posé des questions à ce sujet, on m'a fait sentir comme si je devais accepter le drink bidon à 22$ sans dire un mot. Au prix payé pour le repas en général, je m'entendais à un service de plus attentionné & chaleureux. C'est comme si les tables avec les factures les plus élevées recevaient un meilleur service.Cela dit, le steak était très bon ainsi que la chaudrée de palourdes. Pour un repas similaire à meilleur prix & avec un meilleur service, je recommande The Keg.

Decent place for a dinner for special occasion.
Great clam chowder, I would come back just for that.
Steaks are also brilliant. We ordered 2 apps, 2 drinks, & 2 steaks(with extras), & it costs us less than 400 before tax. It's just amazing man.

Hey I came back after 2 years!

Still really good food with big portions. The claw chowder is good as ever. Their dill, bread, & butter are still amazing!

We ordered Monte Carlo potato, wild mushroom, & asparagus for the sides. Three of us shared Cowboy Steak & it is still very nice. They still live up to the standard & with the price I really have nothing to complain at all.

350 after tax for a group of 3 btw. & we packed some food as well.

A few people recommended trying Gibby's on our trip to Montreal. So glad we did the food was amazing & atmosphere was everything. Our server Adib was amazing. So warm & friendly & service was on point & efficient. Thanks for your attentiveness & great recommendations on things to try. Adib made our experience so much better more memorable. Definitely will be back!

Hands down amazing - the food, the vibe, the service, everything.

The prime rib & New York sirloin were perfectly tender, juicy, & full of flavor. The portions are generous - almost too much - but I couldn't stop myself from finishing because everything was just that good.

The experience started strong from the very beginning: warm bread, fresh salad (even the bacon bites deserve a special mention), & it only got better from there. The finale - a chocolate mousse cake with a ganache base - was exceptional. Delicate in every detail, both melty & crunchy, it truly elevated the whole dining experience.

I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Montreal!

Awesome service! Food was delicious! From the bread, to the butter, to the amazing pickles, steaks & lamb chops! The blue cheese salad is delicious, will definitely go back. Very nice ambiance but can be a bit loud if there are lots of people. Prices are good for quality & service.

This is the second time we have enjoyed Gibbys as a foursome of ladies.
We love it here & our Server Scott & team were so gracious, welcoming & fun.
We had tableau d'hôte …. Excellent value in the middle of our Friday afternoon.
No need for dinner come hungry!!!
Amazing experience hope to see you soon.

Great place, great food, expensive but worth every dollar!
That was my review from 7 years ago.
Now, I don't think it's worth it anymore, Gibby's have priced themselves out of reach. My $85 steak plate was small, well cooked & prepared but $85??
I ordered a Vesper martini, it was served warm. Who serves a warm martini?Who's working the bar, a kid?
Or final bill was almost $400 & I really felt like I was robbed..

I was here 2 years ago & certainly things changed for the worse . I was here on a date night & seated beside a table of 14 people .
So loud that, I couldn't here myself talk. Asked for a manager & of course no one showed up. Finally I asked the waitress to move half way through my meal.& she moved us . We left the restaurant & out front there are like 20 people hanging out .....like a night club. I won't be returning & if you want a quiet & enjoyable night ....a night club is quieter ......im disappointed because it was her first time here & she was not impressed

While in Montreal on business. One of my coworkers from Calgary, who is originally from Montreal highly recommended we all go to Gibby's for dinner. It was a wonderful & absolutely wonderful experience. The restaurant was quite busy, which is apparently pretty common for this really popular restaurant. Initially they sat us in a lounge area upstairs, where we enjoyed a couple of appetizers & some drinks & were served by the most wonderful server imaginable. We all Loved her.
When we were finally brought downstairs to eat, we enjoyed an unbelievable dinner & some great wine selections. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Montreal. Not to be taken lightly. This is a high-end restaurant with high-end quality, food, & wines.
But the staff was over-the-top professional, & we loved every moment of it.

We drove all the way from Toronto to Montreal, & the traffic was terrible.
By the time we arrived, we were exhausted from the long drive & in need of a really good dinner.

Our daughter had been craving steak, so we decided to visit Gibbys-& it turned out to be the perfect choice.

The only challenge was that we had tickets for the Notre-Dame Basilica Aura show at 8 PM, so time was very tight.
Thankfully, we had Carolyn (apologies if I misspelled her name) as our server.

She was incredibly professional, kind, & attentive.
With her skilled service, everything came quickly & smoothly, & she made sure we could both enjoy a delicious meal & still make it to our show.

Thanks to her, we not only recharged after the long trip but also had a truly wonderful dinner experience.
We even managed to arrive at the Basilica just one minute before the show started!

The steak was perfect-but Carolyn's service was even more perfect.
We are so grateful to her. Thank you, Carolyn!

Gibbys a gardé son charme: menu bien élaboré, cuisine succulente, carte à vin TOP, service merveilleux avec Georges. De plus, il y a un service de valet. A un certain moment, ça devient très bruyant mais c'est ok. Ce n'est pas à petit budget mais ça vaut le détour. J'y retournerai volontiers.
