Une expérience absolument inacceptable. On a passé notre commande autour de 20h50 & on n'a reçu nos plats qu'à 22h50, soit deux heures d'attente. Pendant tout ce temps, il n'y avait aucune communication claire & très peu d'excuses. En plus, le plus décevant, c'est que, après avoir attendu deux heures, plusieurs steak étaient trop cuits.
On est partis extrêmement déçus & ce serait impossible de recommander cet établissement.
Omg! Anna was so so sweet as our server last night. She made some great recommendations for wine & steak & the mango/ coconut mocktail was to die for. Crab cakes were delicious!

1 star. I have a documented anaphylactic allergy to all fresh fruits & vegetables, which I clearly explained to our server before ordering. Despite that, my meal arrived with a lemon on the same plate as my food. Mistakes can happen, but instead of remaking the meal right away, I watched the server take my original plate toward the kitchen &, with the help of another server, transfer the food onto a different plate, then bring it back as if it were freshly made. That wasn't a misunderstanding. It was a conscious decision that could have had very serious consequences. I immediately spoke with the manager because this is a fundamental failure of food safety, & we were a party of sixteen celebrating a bachelor party. It overshadowed the entire evening. The manager offered to remake my meal, but by then I had zero trust left. I told him I'd rather eat at McDonald's than risk eating there. He also tried to justify the server's actions by saying it'came from a good place' so that our table could eat together. But that's irrelevant. Eating at the same time doesn't matter if the food isn't safe. My life matters more than the timing of a dinner service. I hope management takes this seriously, retrains their staff, & ensures no one else is put in this position. I would not trust this restaurant to safely serve anyone with a severe food allergy.
Amazing steakhouse in Old Montreal. Our waitress was very attentive & gave great recommendations. The oysters were some of the best i've ever had & the portions are very generous.
From the moment you step through the doors, you're completely immersed in Montreal's rich history & culture. The centuries-old stone walls, low ceilings, & authentic architecture create an incredibly warm, intimate atmosphere that feels like stepping back into the 18th century.
The service was nothing short of exceptional-attentive, genuine, & flawless from start to finish. Every member of the staff made us feel welcomed & ensured every detail of our dining experience was perfect.
As for the food, it was simply outstanding. Every dish was expertly prepared, beautifully presented, & bursting with flavor. The steak was cooked to absolute perfection & ranks among the very best I've ever had.
If you're visiting Old Montreal, this restaurant is an absolute must. In my opinion, it's the finest steakhouse in the city, offering the perfect combination of world-class cuisine, impeccable service, & an unforgettable historic atmosphere. I can't recommend it highly enough & will definitely be returning.
Finding a steakhouse that serves world-class steaks is one thing; finding one that can seamlessly handle a bachelor party of 14 guys without missing a beat is a rare miracle. From the moment we walked in, the staff treated us like royalty. Usually, a group of our size gets shoved into a cramped corner or stuck with agonizingly slow service, but the hospitality here was incredibly sharp, fast, & accommodating.
The pictures of the food don't do it justice. We got a seafood tower (forgot to take that picture), delicious salad, & naturally a steak cooked to perfection. To accompany the food, the cocktails were superb. The old fashions & espresso martinis kept coming. Just make sure you leave room for their cheesecake.
We really wanted to enjoy a meal here. My daughter & I came to Montreal for a girls night out & made a reservation at Gibbys. There was a nice gentleman who served us water told us'JP' will be by to serve us shortly - only he never showed up. We sat for twenty minutes without taking even our drink order- the table next to us was seated after our arrival & served their drinks. We gave up after twenty minutes & went to the Keg which was great. The gentleman who served us our water felt bad for us & assured us JP was told we were here but we just had a bad taste in our mouths at that point.
